Tower Wars
Record gameplay
I'm really getting sick of the lag in the game influencing the game results. Does anybody now a good way to record the game so I could show what is happing an proving there is something wrong with this game.

Sometimes lag can happen, but have a look at your connection. Do you use wifi? Maybe you are using the same (or near the same) channel with your neighbour or something eats up your bandwidth.

Btw I think there are plenty of recording tools out, it is not part of the game to support recording gameplay.

Are you outside of the US? I am from Hungary and sometimes it is laggy, but it is not too often.

i have a 100 mbit up/down internet connection and a 300 mbit wifi connection. Im a software developer and experienced it specialist. I think my network works optiomal.
I'm from the Netherlands, and yes geographic location plays a role... but it doesn't need to influence the gameplay. In this game there are 2 seperate field, atack and defence, processing can de devided amongs the two clients... not mutch interaction is needed if programmed correctly.
i dont expect recording tools to be part of the game, but i'm asking what recording tool i could use with this game
It could be the server or oponent is generally close to you, then you would only have these issues rarely. But perhaps I live further away and therefor generally play against oponents that are further away
fraps only records 30 second :-(
tele2 would indeed be closer... but then the distance to server would be big for both of us.
the moopsy problem on the first wave is due to tower targetting. Its kinda random and sometime you will overkill a moopsy sending an extra shoot or two instead of spreading fire to other alive moopsy. This can end up with one or 2 moop very low life getting through once in a while. Annoying as hell.
I definitely disagree with suggesting FRAPS. It's literally the easiest yet worst program to have, because it's a HUGE powerhog on the PC. And I don't think that would help the situation in general.

First, I wouldn't recommend anything "free"for recording because you get what you pay for. Buying 1 program and learning how to use it can go a long way. Personally, when FRAPS doesn't want to work properly (i bought a license, so it works fine with most games), I do a local recording using my XSplit. XSplit is a livestream broadcaster that gives you the ability to do a local recording instead of going live to say, twitch. There's a small amount of quality lost, but overall it works great. Also, for audio purposes, Audacity works great. And Yes, it's FREE. I don't think you can even pay for it if you wanted to (aside from donations).

I wouldn't have any suggestions towards the lag. I rarely even play the game, but when I do I don't experience lag. Seeing as the game isn't really largely popular, I highly doubt the game was fully optimized, or well coded to begin with. But I'm not around to bash the game. 1 long game is all I can personally take.
I find lag when two things happen. If I'm encoding my last recorded game, it seems to be non-responsive for me. Sometimes, when I'm not the host, it gets lagged down. (I believe in every game, one of the two players is the 'host' - and it seems persons pc specs can impact your game).
