It's a niche indie game, so it's small, but it is not dead. We average about 50-100 concurrent daily players at any given moment.

This is what 3 packs are for. I'm enjoying it with my friends. This is how I play all multiplayer games. When dungeon defenders came out I got a 4 pack and we never went online. Same with borderlands 1 + 2. Always pays to get 3 packs or 4 packs and have a few friends around.

I played it yesterday for about 5 hrs. It took less than 2 minutes to get a game. I think it might have to do with the game sale though. I played a very fun 2v2 game at one point. If I could find a friend to play 2v2 with that would be great.

The SP isn't so much pointless as nothing special -- it's the same thing as all the other myriad tower defense games.

All the fun happens only in MP mode. If they could add a skirmish against the AI mode that would help a whole lot, but they say that's too hard.

Not dead... Although it may take a while for 2v2 and 3v3. Moreover, the higher you get the longer it seems to get to find a match... I guess it is looking for somebody your level and then put you against the random new player.

Personally I don't feel like its worth it. Its hard to find matches and frequently matches arent made or other players just drop. Its unfortunate because it is a fun game. But don't buy it expecting to play it becuase there simply is not a guarentee you will find a match.

OP already said he bought it(and enjoyed it), so your recommendation is kinda pointless now. But anyways, I disagree with it being hard to find matches. I always find matches in less than 5 minutes unless I'm searching for 2v2 or 3v3. Usually I find a match within the first 2 minutes. This is less waiting time than dota 2. If you can't wait up to 5 minutes for a match, then maybe multiplayer isn't for you. As for other players dropping games, I think you are overstating that problem. Out of all the games I've played (100+), I've only had that happen to me twice.
