I felt like the objectives and areas were far too forced and like I didn't have the options that were portrayed in the trailers. Finding and using bullets only one at a time was contrived and made it obvious (I clearly currently have this single bullet so that I can break that single lock to go to the next space) and obligatory. The multi-level movement was difficult, contrived, and overall didn't feel right. As cool as it was to be rewarded for hanging off a building by a sewer pipe by being given access to the next area, dying six times because you didn't see and aim for the sewer pipe many seconds before the roof you're balanced on is excessive. Honestly, I felt like the game's movement could have been replaced by a point and click system where the screen is presented to you all at once, then your monkey-man character climbs six stories up an elevator shaft with a child on his back because you clicked a single button. I wanted to absolutely love the game and was overall not just disapointed that it wasn't great, but that it was actually bad.
