I love this Game!

Those of us who have had the patience and the ability to adapt to survive, know that this game is great. I laugh at all the people bagging this game. It's thier loss. Just wanted to post a thread that actually says something nice about the game, because it's awesome.

Its a good game but just got stuck then i had to keep on restarting the missions due to no retries som i have just left it. It also has over depressing lighting even for such a immersive story.

I have this game on uplay. It's a bit short and linear, but the combat mechanics are superb, i would even say probably one of the best games i've played in that matter

Eggplant, I didn't mean to ruffle feathers. I never said I was better that other people. I am simply saying some people didn't give the game a chance, and others found the style of gameplay simply to difficult and or frustrating and gave up early, and are missing out on a very cool game. I felt the game got a bad wrap and was merely voicing my own opinion.
At the end of the day, I don't know you and your opinion is your right. But I couldn't give a damn what you think of me. If you decide not to try this game, it's your loss not mine.

Though i agree that some aspects of the game are great (combat mechanics are awesome, level design is incredible) I think passing off people who hated it as people who don't have the patience to adapt and survive is a bit rude, which is what i think eggplant meant about you saying you're better, as in, implying that you must be "better" (more patience and ability) because you enjoyed the game. I played all the way through it, I had the patience to adapt and survive, I didn't dislike the game because of it's difficulty. The reason I didn't like the game was due to the layout. At the end of it I thought "ahh brilliant, finished the side mission, I can get on with the game now", and then out of nowhere, CREDITS. The ending was terrible and so was the game length.

Having said that, it's one of the few games i didn't experience a single bug in (not sure how many people have though), and as i said, the combat mechanics and level design are things some other games I know of could learn from. I also respect the fact that you wanted to give the game some credit, and wanted to say something nice about the game. I suppose I just didn't agree with the first part, I'm included in "Those of us who have had the patience and the ability to adapt to survive" and yet, i don't "know this game is great". It's good, it has some brilliant factors, but it also falls short in some critical fields.

In summary, I like why you made the thread, i like what the thread stands for, I just had to note that issue on the "delivery" of the thread!. (no offence or abuse intended! and sorry for the messy comment, half asleep)

I see your point. Although my post was originally intended to be cheeky, not offensive.

I was all ready to love this game. However, despite exceeding the recommended requirements. I found the game unplayable. I don't mean difficult, I don't mean requiring practice or patience, I mean unplayable. The game crashes constantly for me. The mouse doesn't work all the time. I would assume this is due to it being a hasty console port but according to the store page, it has only 'partial controller support', something you would expect to be fully supported if you put together a quality console port.

If you CAN play it and enjoy it more power to you, but I dare say that a lot of the people who hate this game have had a very different experience to your own. Personally, I found myself raging at my mouse, as I would move it and nothing would happen about 33% of the time. The mouse is a Logitech and works fine in every other game I have.

If you are thinking of purchasing, be warned, it's a gamble that it'll work for you at all.
