I originally reviewed this game saying that it looked good but I wasn't able to play it due to glitches. After getting it to work properly, I have to change my review.
I pretty quickly realized that this game is basically a Diablo clone. I quit after about halfway through the first dungeon. It literally consisted of nothing but endless waves of skeletons, other than one short and unsatisfying puzzle. In a game where there is nothing but endless violence, there is no point to playing a rogue or wizard. Wizard skills, for example, other than ones that deal damage are useless in a game that is entirely focused around repetive combat. And even then, you're just a hyped-up warrior who has a limit of attacks (limited by your magic points). Rogues are utter garbage when stealth doesn't even work properly. No, really, enemies spot you immediately and backstabs are impossible.
Oh and another thing. You don't get to customize anything about your character. You just choose from 6 options: 3 classes, each with a male or female version. Yes, you heard me right. No alignment, ability scores, races, nothing. You do get to pick new skills and assign stat points when you level up, but obviously this makes the game more focused around XP grinding than actual roleplaying.
You can talk, but talking is pretty much limited to "Hey, wanna do a quest?" And your responses are yes, no, or to ask for more information. What a complex social interaction, right?
I would be hesitant to call this an RPG. I would probably call it a beat-em-up fighting game. So if you're looking for the latter, it's a great game. If you like the former then pass on this.
