Orc Drummer: God of enemies.

Am I the only one who had a problem with an orc drummer NEVER DYING simply because he could constantly instant heal, or am I doing something really wrong because I'm still at the begining of the game.

When I first left Aleroth I couldn't kill the orc drummer because he could heal faster than I could do damage, so I ended up leaving him there. A little while later, when I met the travelling merchant on the path to the cursed abbey, I bought a better sword with a Stun bonus and better damage, and was able to go back and kill the orc drummer. When I replaced that sword I learned the passive Stun skill, since I found it helpful.

I killed him the first time I encountered an Orc Drummer. The key tactic is to run away and make him follow you and then hit him. In modern RPG terms, you have to kite him to defeat him because an Orc Drummer can't heal while moving. (As far as my analysis goes)

yeah you can also kite him to the soldier standing with the shield and yellow cape just outside the gate where you come out of start area..or use the freeze ability on him..i used freeze myself then pounded him with meteorstrike

As a warrior, you could kite and that causes the Drummer to start attacking you in melee. BE WARNED THOUGH! IF YOU DO THIS, YOU'LL BE HARD-HITTED. The Orc-Drummer is without a doubt one of the most annoying mobs early in the game because the dude just hard-hits you and unless you spam healing pots, you'll never get him down. Even while I had the best gear I could get from the catacombs, the guy still owned me unless I stock piled loads of healing potions of various types. It took me a number of deaths to figure out a strategy. With regards to the soldier at the gate, the Orc Drummer may respawn as I have tried using this strategy as well but it doesn't always work.

My best advice for beginners is to either be a masochist and fight this guy until you figure out a way or simply skip and return to the area when you're able to sustain enough damage to defeat him. Let me tell you one thing: when you do kill the Drummer, he gives a lot of xp, enough that would satisfy for a thrill of victory (TOV) phase.

fireball magic and alot of drinks and then kill him. gives lots of xps

freeze him with frost which u can skill at lvl 5. Use weapon with stun or frost, use the thief skill poison blade ( where you can put poison on your dagger/weapon, its actually really strong but ) or use killer scorpion, most overpowered skill
