Dissapearing after first ladder

i dissapear and cant find my character as soon as i go up that first ladder, what the ♥♥♥♥ is going on.

Disable Caps Lock. Enabling Caps Lock, or holding down the Shift key, lets you move the screen focus away from your character (to see or toss stuff further), but can result in the screen not following when entering hatches/caves or using ladders/stairs.

I thought the game bugged out or was imcompatable with my computer.

Juast had this problem, too. I was hoping it was something I was doing.
