Game won't launch
Basically what the title suggests. I can't even test the game's settings; it just says "initialisation of this mode failed" or something, and then the game closes out.

Any help would be appreciated.

My computer specs:

Windows 10 64.bit
AMD A8-6410 Quad-Core Processor with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics
4 GB RAM

Uh, never mind. I actually just got it to run. I don't know what I did but it works.

EDIT: Unfortunately, there's some random audio static. I heard the solution was to set the game to run on a single core, but I've no idea on how to do that.

Are most older games running on Windows 10?
How do you like it

dude what did you do ? have the same problem i just cant figure this out
I got mine set to windows xp service pack 2 compatibility. Far as the config screen goes i picked software and smoothness checked. Resolution is up to you because on my monitor 1600P the game is in the center of the screen. But after that click apply and close. Game should work, and I'm doing all this from the install folder.

The easiest way to get the game running on a single core is to run it in Win 9x compatibility mode (right click on the ..\SteamApps\common\divine_divinity\div.exe file, select Properties and switch to the Compatibility tab).
