Aerofly FS + FaceTrackNoIR
I just want to let everyone know that FaceTrackNoIR works with Aerofly FS even though it isn't in the list of compatible games (yet). It is a cheap alternative to TrackIR that only requires a web cam. I got it to work with the PS3 Eye cam this morning.

Here's a quick demo in case anyone is interested: Link to Youtube video

Well, I am interested a lot, I watch the video, read the docu and still cannot succed.
In the video the GUI looks different to what I can download and so I wonder, where I miss out.

To make my point: The GUI works well for itself, but AeroflyFS will show NO reaction, and from what I can find online I have no clue ...

I used an older version of FaceTrackNoIR, I can't get it to work with V1.60 either. There is a link to the previous versions on their website, but the site isn't loading at the moment...

Well I gave it another try with the NEW FaceTrackNoIR 1.70 release and WOW it WORKS !!!!
Only changes I had to do was: to invert the yaw axis, and I told it to use "only TrackIR" in a setting where it is possible to enable two interfaces (don't remember exactly where this setting was).

It is amazing how well it works.
If this prooves to be useful I will not hesitate to donate for this fantastic piece of software.

Update after a day:
At first the many screen moves made me quite nervous...

Then I disabled x (no shifting left/right), z (no zooming) and roll. And I also changed the curves for yaw, pitch up, pitch down in a way so that movement with small angles moves less (like Expo on a RC radio) and now I have very nice movement and screen behaviour.

Update after day 2:
I feel really comfortable with this tool by now. I tweaked the curves so the moves feel really comfortable by now, I even set a Hotkey so I can enable the x,z and roll when I want to.

All I can say is, it's getting better all the time.

Cheers to the FaceTrackNoIR developer staff for a really fine tool.
