I've a couple of prior releases, but when I noticed the hastened way they were releasing sequels, I simply decided not to follow them sequel after sequel.

Anyhow. I saw a nonsensical way of naming the sequels, as in; Instead of including the year it was released on to difference eachother, including the next years for being too lazy to come up with a different sequel name.

But I agree, a name is just a name. But there simply are names making more sense than others.

I know the OP just tried to troll but I'll bite.
There are reasons for why the game uses the next year instead of the current year.
The game follows the real card game, more precisely the core sets. This month, Magic 2014 is released so the game gets the same year in the name.
Magic 2014 is released now and will be legal for most of next years which is why it gets next years name instead of this years. It's marketing. in 2014 people wouldnt want to be playing Magic 2013.

They release this at the same time of the actual paper 2014 core set to let players grow familar with the cards in that set and to introduce new players to the current core set and it's mechanics.

I see that but I am boycotting is upcoming game...even if alone. I am fed up with the constant bugs and over nerfing decks to make the few more popular deck types more wanted. Since WotC flat out doesn't understand the community, I will flat out not buy the next game. And honestly this kind of sucks as I LIKED the game but I NEED my principles more.

Now I know that a 'tard or two will bash this or continue to talk out of their butt on my comment and I flat out don't care. I'm not asking OTHERS to join me but stating semi-formally why I won't be buying it.

If WotC can't even fix game 1 but produces game 2 and now with game 3 and 4 with the same probleme as before, I can say that I am done. I mostly bought this one as they said that it had Slivers and I do have hope for the game still but seeing the complete stagment that I seen in this latest version, I am just done.

Unless the Slivers deck is flat out better and cards added into it that a REAL Sliver player would use, I'm completely out. If they add the badly needed Gemhide Sliver and OTHER ways of winning other than attacking I could be OKAY with the constant ignoring of the populations bug reports by WotC.

However, with the same bugs over, and over, and yet over again - how much more crap do we need to go through to get simple and easy to do fixes done?

At least since the first game, they made taking OUT card at least able to do. At first, you couldn't take out the 'meh cards at all and with this last version they made land adjustment workable. So even with a complete (I would fire you if you were a worker although you do SOME work) work ethic and ideology,

At least WotC at did SOMETHING that was requested. Even if it was done in a complete mediocure and overduely late way.

...It is like turning in a college course final for your Science class seven months after the class ended and still expected that your "D" would become a "C" so you could keep your scholarship. It wouldn't work there so why is it okay for WotC to do it here?
