Uhm... a virus? Exactly what does it say?
I think we've had another player whose antivirus software reported the game as a virus. He added an exception for it in his antivirus software. I, as the current programmer for this game, can garantee you that there is no virus in it :) So, unless there is a real virus on your computer that infects files that are downloaded, there should be no problem adding Dwarfs as an exception to your antivirus software. What antivirus software are you using that reports Dwarfs as a threat? :)

ok um i use avg what did he use?

Not sure, probably AVG. I have heard from others that AVG is a little to rabid on flagging things as virus. Anyway.. did the game work if you add it as an exception to AVG? : )

I am using AVG free, and my computer brand is ACER, at first I was getting disc driver errors with the game, after that was fixed AVG flagged the dwarfs .exe file as a threat, can someone please tell me what the hell is going on? and yes I use windows 7.

Nothing really. The AVG software is paranoid and thinks Dwarfs is a virus. Why it does that, I have no idea. It probably happened after the keybindings patch... but as I said in an earlier post: I can garantee you that there is no viruses or malicous code in this game, so it is perfectly safe to put Dwarfs.exe in AVG:s exception list : )

i also have a problem with AVG finding a virus.

Is there a fix for this yet? AVG actually ate mine (when i accidently clicked on a window hidden behind the game). Now I cant even play the game, even after reinstalling. I can't even find it in the vault or history.... I'm deleting AVG anyway, been having issues with it over the last 8 months, no longer the name i will go to.

ok frist step make sure its not one of those stupied things that make you pay for nothing next see if you can find help on the froums after that just ask a pro who knows what he or she is doing unlike me.

We have contacted AVG now so that they can fix this false positive. It should be fixed soon :)
We have also made our own scans using the latest version of AVG and found nothing...
well avast had no problem with this.

Had this same problem. Will reinstall, add the exception, etc. Also scanning my hard drive just in case it's my computer that has a virus.
