Awesome port
Iunno why everyone's complainin 'cause it runs, looks and sounds great.

Specs:
Pentium 4 Dual Core clocked at 2.8 GHz
4GB DDR2 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5770 (With an 60-80% bottleneck)

No issues so far, and any glitches that I've run into are ones that I remember from the Dreamcast/GameCube versions. Smooth 60 FPS consistanstly, fast loading times, no audio jitter and the game picked up my controller right away and controls flawlessly. I think this port is fantastic and that for ten bucks, this game is a steal.

Other than laptop users who have problems with the Nvidia Optimus technology (SA2 only detecting the Intel integrated graphics, not detecting the Nvidia card), so far, those who have had problems with slow down either have old or low-end graphics cards, or have integrated Intel graphics.

My game detects my card. But it still runs extremely slow. I've recorded a clip with DXTory to show how slow it is compared to its Dreamcast counterpart.

Problems with the port so far are people experiencing game slowing down, or too fast, problem with Nvidia Optimus, some people unable to connect their XBOX controller to the game and some audio issues.

I have an old dual core 1.6 ghz, 1 gb ram and a geforce 210 and i can play with max res, MSAA x4 and vsync.

This port is really good :)

The primary problem is SOA, in all of their infinite wisdom, didn't bother to add a frameskip option to the game so it goes in and renders EVERY. SINGLE. 60fps. FRAME. regardless if the hardware it is running on cannot render that fast so the game runs slow and desyncs horribly. On PC games be it native or ports, this is BAD. Any developer worth their salary would have added frameskipping. No excuses.

I run an older laptop with a Core 2 Duo and a dedicated GPU. Mind you an older GPU: ATI X1400 with 256MB RAM and Shader 3 capable. Other games of the era run just fine. And I am happy letting the game run south of 30fps if it keeps in sync and relatively smooth. That is impossible with SA2 because while the laptop can keep up with ~30fps realistically, the game wants all 60 frames each gameplay second rendered so it all goes half speed.

So yeah, newer amazing machines may work just fine but even moderately older/lower spec machines should at least be playable even if at lower framerates. This is not the case. SADX had frameskipping and worked just fine, completely playable.

I know there is likely no chance of getting this very small fix made to the game, but it is simply getting to the core of the problem of the slowdowns people have with it. It is simply a very quickly and haphazardly done console-to-PC port and not bothering to take into account the game is not running on a single hardware configuration but MANY MANY different varied configurations that, even if modern by comparison, may still not hit the 60fps mark the game wants.

Mine runs great, sometimes it even gets to the main menu before it crashes!
