Give us online multiplayer!

I bought this game and the DLC for both myself and a friend, expecting to be able to play against him online. Instead, as most of you know by now, only a local multiplayer function was given. So now I ask, what's the point? The main reason I got this game for the computer was to because steam classified it as "multiplayer" and not "local multiplayer" making me think that some kind of online functionality was available! I mean, don't get me wrong. I love this game and played the heck out of it on the gamecube, but I'm severely dissapointed about the lack of online gameplay.

No, they don't have online play, only leaderboards and achievements like the steam version.

With the controll scheme of this game, I can imagine that local multiplayer would be possble, given you have a second keyboard, and promise not to push each others buttons.

It doesn't. I have the Xbox 360 version. I'm pretty sure it doens't. Too lazy to check though lol.

Pssh, who uses keyboards anymore? lol, jk. I'm using my Xbox controller to play this game, so bring another xbox controller and you're all set.

If there is just some program that lets someone connect to your PC via internet and lets you connect your controller as a second port controller, then it wouldn't be that out there of an idea of online multiplayer.

The store page should have listed this as "local multiplayer".

I feel even "local" multiplayer would be a tad egregious. That would imply LAN capabilities. The only truthful descriptor would be "split-screen," but given the rarity at which this occurs on a computer game, I doubt Steam even has a tag for that.
