Sonic Adventure™ 2

Zobrazit statistiky:
Game Randomly Uninstalled by itself.
This has happened before, but this happened just then. Sonic Adventure 2 and Killing Floor were uninstalled by THEMSELVES, but their data in the steamapps folder still exists. I tried reinstalling Killing Floor once, it gives me an error saying "Update is Suspended".

Please tell me I am NOT the only victim to this. I seen other people discuss this on the forums.

never happened to me
It never really happened to many people. But actually, it doesn't really "uninstall". It's more like it loses the sync with the game folder, which is odd... There must be a way to tell Steam that the game is still there or something.

I'm seriously, it just uninSTALLED.
yeah still not buying it
Meh, I don't care if you don't believe me. There is no doubt that it happened to others as well.
It's not about believing. It's just that I doubt that the files just vanished. They are probably there still but Steam can't see them or something.
I see. Well, like I said, it happened before on other computers I was using at the time. Steam has some odd problems.
Mmk. Well, not sure what Windows you use but try to go look at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common and see if your game is still there or not. You should also contact Steam Support and tell them of this issue as well as if the files are still actually on your computer.

Yes, that was what I said in the thread, the steamapps data is still there, but it isn't installed in the library.
I remember my Steam doing that to a few of my games. It would either uninstall or say there was an update(There wasn't) to download.

I had two faulty RAM sticks that I removed and everything went back to normal.

A few times my Steam would say the game was uninstalled yet I could still launch it if I went into the Steam folders.
Anyway, I'll reinstall Sonic Adventure 2. If it happens again, I'll just shrug it off and install it again.
If the files are still there, just reinstall thru Steam and it'll detect the files are already there and reinstall it without you having to redownload anything.
This same thing had just happened to me. Half-life: Source, Blue Shift, and Opposing Force were all uninstalled for me. And no matter what I do I can not get them to re-install.
