Terrible fps

I just started adventure 2 battle and the game is running at a ridiculously low framerate. From the logo screen to menu to gameplay the fps is at a constant 5-6.

I bought the game on steam a few months ago and it played just fine. It's just now, a few months later that this is happening. I tried verifying game cache and reinstalling the game but the issue is still there.

My computer specs are:
i5-3570
8gb ram
ati 5850

Although specs shouldn't matter since as i said before i played this game just fine when i initially bought it and 5-6 fps is on this game is no longer a graphical issue but something else entirely.

This is confusing the hell out of me as i'm using the same computer as before and i can't seem to find any info online about this at all. Anyone know what could be wrong?

Something happen with me, but for me, the game goes to 500-600fps aprox
