Has anyone made a bug fix for the trees/fruits in the chao garden?

I guess that sega doesn't want to patch this game which stinks but has there been any fixes made for the buggy tree saplings that never grow or the fruit texture glitch? I'd really like to fix the trees if there's been any mods made to fix it.
