3/10 Not worth 59.99, not even worth 29.99

This game had alot of people hyped up, it did. The reason why? It was a sequel to an underdog, it had all the marketing for a game that could take the world by suprise. It did...for about a week. If that.

This game was a great first playthrough, even hard mode isn't terrible but the first playthrough and thats it. You just used your 59.99. Hope you savored every bit of it.

Story 9/10: The story is great, I won't spoil anything but obviously theres dinosaurs and that was my favorite part by far. I loved every moment of it. It just escelates into something better every second. Everything else outside of it was basically just like the first game. Nothing special but not a let down. Probably one of the better parts of the game.

Graphics 9/10: Top notch, One of the few games my system struggles with at high settings. If you have a top notch machine this is maybe another point to consider the game if your someone who can appreciate such. I won't say anymore as its not needed.

Singleplayer 8/10: This kinda ties into story but I'll do my best to summarize it. Besides the great story in it you take ahold of alot of different heroes, a few you didnt see in #1. Unfortunately you can't choose your hero in this one. It just gives you one for that chapter or time being in that chapter in some cases. I think I played just about every major hero there was for a bit, enough to learn & somewhat master them. There are things you can go around collecting if your a completionist type. You are able to upgrade your weapons & such during this time, as each kill grants you currency and you come across upgrade stations where you can do so. After playing during the story you do find that one paticular weapon is just a wrecking ball and eventually it makes the game that much easier. This is why I give it only an 8/10 besides I didn't get enough dino action.

Multiplayer 1/10: Alright, brace yourselves. This, is why the game is not only not worth 59.99, or 39.99 probably not even worth 29.99, is the amount of hacking, exploiting this game has. Alot of it you can tell was not intetional by the developers. How do I know this? After playing the first couple days it was released I was able to get some experience in this. It was great, loved it. Felt "vanilla" nothing was touched, most people were fresh to it. Most had no experience from the first. Those who did you noticed, gave you a good fight. But after 3 weeks hacking started to show it self. By october it wasn't hard to distinguish if you were going to be frustrated or not. 9/10 I was leaving games due to hacking (even if it was on my side) within 3 minutes. If it wasn't within 3 minutes its because the game had already ended and I had great patience that day. High moon really screwed up here by adding a non-hacking system. I shouldn't need to say anymore.

Other notes: DLC, on the first day. This is a joke right? You can obviously tell high moon is wanting to suck this game for every penny its worth. What does this mean? It means they aren't up to make a sequel. It means high moon knows they screwed up and they're going to lay off their employees. There is no sequel to this game, not by my eyes. High moon is done. Why release a DLC on the same day and still charge 59.99 for the game. This game's price should've dropped a month ago at least to 39.99 hell even 44.99 would've been fair. 59.99 plus DLC at 9.99 for looks? Its pretty pathetic.

I won't bother making any suggestions as highmoon really isn't worth my time anymore. Honestly its not worth anybodys unless you enjoy having "hack" fights. (Is that a real thing?)




To summarize, if your rich as hell, can shell out 59.99 for about 10 hours this game might be for you for those 10 hours. If you love transformers I have great sympathy for you. Heres a suggestion though. If you can deal with a shooter on console my recommendation is to rent the game or pick up a used copy for your 360/ps3 and enjoy it there. I'm not sure if theres hackers there, doubtful since microsoft & sony probably have their own ways of keeping hackers out where as high moon has 0 anti-hacking support.

Just my 2 cents. What made me do this review is the price. Its still pretty unbelievable. Anybody who still pays anything above 39.99 is pretty terrible at research or extremely desperate for 10 hours of entertainment

To be enjoying it after at least a month to play it daily you must be a completionist for single player, Hacking your way through PvP or hacking your way through escelation or possibly playing with some nice friends. Either way if your playing any of the 3 or all 3 then your not actually getting your whole 60$ worth, not for a game that has this many features with such a short storyline. Skyrim gives more than enough for 60$ worth in story. Its an RPG, blah blah. But it lacks multiplayer. When multiplayer is broken as such on these games and developers refuse to fix it, I'm not getting my moneys worth.

I pre-ordered the game, played it the night it came out, beat it the following day. Theres a difference between being poor and having my priorities straight. If I had a poll going I would bet this game is not even worth the 60$ to them. I'd love to take a look at current PC sales from october to now to see how sales are comparing from launch night. Many many better action games with multiplayer such as this sold way better and still sell better than this game. People know it. Everybody knows this game is high moon's studios last resort and as I said before. They're attempting to suck every penny out of its customer before they shut themselves down.

I should've known better. Every single game they've created has had issues from day 1 and they hardly bother to fix them. Darkwatch was a fail, many will agree. Bourne conspiracy was a fail, many have no idea this game existed. Dark of the moon...was just a bad game in general...just bad. War for cybertron was ok, but it lacked some serious components & DLC actually would've been viable for the game since it had a decent underdog reputation.

Ratings mean nothing if they have nothing to back it up months later.

I'm just saying. stay away from this game unless your throwing 100$'s like pennies around or until this game goes under 20$. Its just not worth the stress, frustration.

Lol multiplayers is not broken and that is all I play nothing else, yes there are host migration and a few hackers but seriously it's not that big a deal. I can still play for hours a day and have fun. And yes I throw 100's around like pennies, seriously 60 bucks ain't ♥♥♥♥. I don't disagree that the company is balls and money hungry, But I'm glad I have FOC to kill time. On this one I say, enjoy my 60 bucks to me it was worth it.

the game is still pretty good despite the multiplayer and how the company doesnt to crap not to mention no one plays anything but deathmatch (honestly doesnt it get boring playing deathmatch all the time?) the single player story is perfect for G1 fans like me. When i got the Dino Destruction pack it said you can use the dinobots in single player <-----that was a total lie.
As we all know multiplayer is barely fun due to hackers and how the company doesnt do anything even though on multiplayer menu it says: "please report all bugs,cheats,and other issues we are working hard to make FoC the best it can be" finally i have this ANNOYING bug were any transformation (but flying ones) lean left and right rapidly and uncontrollably thus making grimlock worthless i basicly wasted 50$ for 1) crapy multiplayer 2) uncontrollable leaning left and right 3) even though the packs CLEARLY state you can use special charecters in single player you CANT

I have to say as a huge transformers fan I would buy this but at £30 in the SALE (if you add the DLC) there are a lot better games out there for that money imho. This isnt a new game any more and isnt a premium title either, just a nice console port.

Sort out your pricing and I'll buy.

Thought the game was pretty good personally, not worth $60 but I believe it is worth $30. I'm not a huge fan of the multiplayer, but the single player was very well done.

If you are a Transformers fan, its worth the $30 imo.

This. Not just me, but my son plays it to death. He loves it. The MP is actually quite good. I know there are some cheaters, but they don't really spoil my fun. I didn't buy the game for MP though, and a lot of games just tack on MP...that is not the case with this game. The MP is well designed. The only thing they didn't do right was use VAC to deal with the cheaters.

I got the game near the time it was made, and (sad to say) played over 100 hours of it. I still love it. I have never seen hacking in multiplayer (though I have never realy trained myself to reconize it) The only problems I see with multiplayer are the friend lists are screwed up, yoou can't talk/type and host mygrations happen too much for my likeing. And trust me, I don't hack. (The last hacking material I looked at for a different game was over 10 gig and I don't realy want to waste that kind of memory).

Thanks for the review. Was thinking of buying the game PLUS all the DLCs for multiplayer, but now will just get the core game since it's on sale.
