Is there any point to the completed game file of Episode 2?

I've scoured the internet and can't find a single place that even mentioned the fact that you load up your completed game save from the last game into the current game you're playing (episode 1 to episode 2), and would like to at least know if there's any instance where that's going to happen in three.

I dont think it does. Since the devs of this game are different from the ones from 1 and 2.

Yeah, it's disappointing. Feels like the experience of the first two games are now wasted.
