This game terrifies me. I will play it between pages of geometry homework and then realize that I have spent fifteen minutes desperately trying to beat my high score. Every time I play, I find it literally impossible to convince myself to limit the amount of lives I get before I go back to work. Very few games have been this addictive for me, but this one stands apart from even those addictive games because of one key difference: it's fun.
I can honestly say that I enjoy playing Super Crate Box, sometimes even more so than I would more complex games such as TF2 and Red Faction. The unique aspect that is the premise of the game somehow makes it so interesting to play for long periods of time without tedium or even disappointment when you lose. I first saw it on Smosh and later checked it out myself, expecting that it would cost anywhere from $3 to $5. I was genuinely surprised when I discovered that this was free to play, and that there were none of those pesky in-game purchases either. I really don't find any reason for people NOT to play this game, other than the fact that it will be the easiest distraction from productivity since sliced bread.
