Keeps on crashing!!!

What is the first aspect to playing a game?
BEING ABLE TO PLAY IT!
Not sure if anyone else gets this, but my game keeps on crashing every 5 minutes!
HELP ME!

It is same for me, I crash every 2 to 5 minutes :/

Mine only crashes when using the flamethrower, I would avoid using it at all costs

Not sure what you're referring to, the crashes when burning 3+ enemies, or the crashes that occur when shooting a shotgun in the big green monster's face in extremely close proximity.

I really like this game, i could probably play it for hours... but im having the same problem, what are the devs doing about it??

The crashes caused by shotgun and flamethrower occur on WIndows 8 and Windows 8.1 (no matter what build) as soon as more than 6 particles hit a single or more enemies, after experimenting I managed to get the same form of crash with the same log file with several other weapons, including chaingun, flamethrowing, machinegun, dual pistols and flamethrower.

The crash appears to be steam related though, the standalone version of the game works perfectly fine on both w7, w8 and w8.1.

Hopefully this will be dealt with soon by the dev and/or steam.
