another demo won't start thread
redownloaded, error is persistent its .net here are some details for you:

Hey Zarathustra,

Sorry you experienced this crash. Thanks for reporting it. We updated our Steamworks integration last week and the license check is now failing on the demo. I will upload the fix as soon as possible (waiting for a new license now).

I will let you know as soon as it's ready.

Huh? Is it working now? I've never seen that issue before, most likely a problem with your graphics drivers or you're running another game in the background.
