Player character displayed to the right of actual position
Picked up the game in Groupees Be Mine Aniversary but hadn't tried it until now when I noticed the update. The position of the player character with respect to the environment is totally messed up. The character is shown a good ways to the right of where the game thinks the character actually is. Needless to say, it's impossible to play with this bug.

Screenshot

I'm running Win7x64, 12G, Nvidia GeForce 560M, Asus G74SX laptop. Screen resolution is 1920x1080 (native).

Are there certain screen resoluitons that are not supported? If so, what are they? Is there any way to make the game run in a window?

Hi iamdave,

We've seen this problem before but I've been trying to dig up the exact solution and can't find it. You may want to try updating your graphics drivers and verifying the game cache in Steam to make sure your game files are correct. The game supports all resolutions.

There are no plans to add windowed mode to the game right now due to technical issues. You can hack it in by modifying the settings file manually though:

Here is a file you can use to force the game into windowed mode: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1915696/settings

Place the file in here:
C:\Users\<User>\Documents\SavedGames\PartyOfSin\PartyOfSin\AllPlayers

The game should now be windowed when you open it. If you want to go back to full screen just delete the file and a new one will be created with the default settings.

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply.

I was hoping that windowed mode would fix the bug. Unfortunately it does not.

The 'game cache' is valid.

As far as updating my driver... . Last time I did that it almost forced me to reinstall the entire OS, it was that messed up. Since then I've decided that as long as everything works, I'll just keep what I've got. So at this point, I'll just put Party of Sin on hold.

Sorry to hear that. In the mean time we will let you know if we find a solution to this particular problem.

Just to report in on this issue, I had similar (on Win7 64bit, GeForce 560, and 1080P) initially, however updating my gfx drivers did successfullly resolve the issue.

I have change :

I finally had to update my driver (it went fairly smoothly... in safe mode, remove old then install new). Anyway, the problem is now fixed. I installed the latest Nvidia driver from ASUS:

V9.18.13.1100.02
VGA_nVidia_Win7_8_64_VER91813110002.zip

I was having this same problem but just updated my graphics drivers and now it works!
Thanks.
