This one seems to involve .dll creation, which is similar to the 1st video that was on private.
Here's another one I found.
http://modsreloaded.com/alternate-d3d9-fix-for-ati-plus-d3d9gen
1. Go to your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Amazing Spider-Man
2. Click ASMLauncher.exe (it's a pop-up settings menu)
3. Then once the menu comes up drag & drop the d3d9.dll file into the folder and then launch the game. Using the the ASMLauncher.exe
The 3rd step is really important. If I tried to use SweetFx mods (which also use .dll's) without starting the Launcher FIRST, it would crash.
So my guess is, you would have to do this every time you launched the game. So make a backup of the original game's .dll first LOL.
For anyone that is considering purchasing this I would pass for now unless you can find it for at least 75% off (or if you own an Nvidia card). At least the gameplay and story is good enough to keep playing. :|
Maybe it lags, maybe it doesn't. But it's hard to notice when you have 2GB.
