FIX for ATI Studdering Here
http://www.game-debate.com/blog/index.php?b_id=2421&author=Core2Quad&blog=The%20Amazing%20Spiderman%20ATI%20FPS%20FIX

This one seems to involve .dll creation, which is similar to the 1st video that was on private.

Here's another one I found.

http://modsreloaded.com/alternate-d3d9-fix-for-ati-plus-d3d9gen

1. Go to your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Amazing Spider-Man
2. Click ASMLauncher.exe (it's a pop-up settings menu)
3. Then once the menu comes up drag & drop the d3d9.dll file into the folder and then launch the game. Using the the ASMLauncher.exe

The 3rd step is really important. If I tried to use SweetFx mods (which also use .dll's) without starting the Launcher FIRST, it would crash.

So my guess is, you would have to do this every time you launched the game. So make a backup of the original game's .dll first LOL.

Video is set to private. Very helpful :(

Yep, video is private.......could you add the link?

Wow that's lame.

Try this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVuG0gXWvJo

That video works, I'll have to try it later when I get the chance (I'll post about it and let you guys know how it works. Thanks Bawb!

Sure thing. I use Nvidia and the only lag I get is if all the enemies (usually more than 7) are some how alerted to my position at the same time and start attacking me, so I try to defeat a cluster as fast as I can to make the lag stop LOL.

Well, this doesn't work for me (steam wont even start the game with it); hopefully this can help someone who doesn't have it on steam at least...........for now I guess I'll just have to play it as is; hopefully Activision will release a patch to fix this issue. Also, in case anyone is wondering here's my specs:
CPU: AMD FX-8150 Eight-core 3.6 GHz (4.1 OC)
RAM: 8 GB DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB GDDR5

And to think this game is almost unplayable with low settings on my system. Thanks for the help again Bawb.

Wow, I'll be passing on this game. I'll buy it when it's $10 and properly patched.

Also this trick wont work for me its the same performance and followed every steps so yeah...
Baaron87 3. jan. 2013 kl. 20:32
I may give those other steps a try the next time I'm on my windows desktop.........but I'm not holding my breath (this was obviously a very poor port). I will post my results if I try though. Thanks again for all the help!

For anyone that is considering purchasing this I would pass for now unless you can find it for at least 75% off (or if you own an Nvidia card). At least the gameplay and story is good enough to keep playing. :|

It's weird this lagging issue, as I have an Nvidia card, and it majorly lags in the city sections (as it is loading the city). Often the textures take a long time to load. Anyone else have this issue with Nvidia and have a fix?
BAWB BAGET 4. jan. 2013 kl. 16:14
I use an MSI GTX 660ti.

Maybe it lags, maybe it doesn't. But it's hard to notice when you have 2GB.

Wow! This worked perfectly! Thanks a lot!
