Is it possible to unlock all the game content for free through in game Turbine points?
Hey everyone. I'm about to try playing this series for the first time ever but I've read comments in articles related to LOTRO that ALL the content can be unlocked by grinding in game currency. Is this true or even possible to acquire the amount needed to do this? Any responses would be great ;)

ps. The content I'm referring to are the quests/skirmishes/expansions that are sold in the LOTRO store.

Uhm.. well, you need to realize that;

1. That would take more time than you have.
2. Each deed / whatever might give you... 5, maybe 10, depending on the deed.

with that being said, even if you did ALL the deeds, you might have enough to unlock one expansion. MIGHT though.

Possible but will take a lot of time all your charakters make turbine points but not that many 5-10 and some up to 20.

Keep an eye on the LOTRO store, there are always sales on quest packs and other content.

You can. I am trying to do that now and seems like doing deeds is sometimes very quick (in breeland) after that it becomes a little more time waste... anyway. However at one point you might fed up so I guess it's best to get at least 1 month vip (more than a month is waste of money). You will be premium forever after that and you will get all the traits/bags as well as the currency cap off after downgrading to premium. The thing i really hate premium is that there is a rest EXP so I don't want my characters to get exp while im logged off... Get the main game launcher after registering here, cuz sometimes steam can be very slow...I experienced that ... lotro.com [my.lotro.com]

The shire and eridluin are much faster options!

Hey guys thanks for the responses and deed quest tips thus far. I created a woman burglar on the Brandywine server last night so about to officially play for the first time right now. If any of you are on Brandywine or would like to make another character there and adventure with me my burglar's name is Cirenith. Add me here on Steam and in game as well :D

Yeah if starts feeling like a infinite grind I may have to go the VIP route but for now I'll see how much patience I have..lol.

I haven't checked out all the player starting guides yet but are these two areas starting zones where I can do these deeds as well?

Here is a handy guide to TP http://lotro.mmorsel.com/p/tpfinder.html. Some of the things on the rest of the site are out of date but the TP finder is still relevant.

Just remembered that Moria got revamped so those deeds have changed quite a bit but all the others should be accurate.
Hordman Jan 31, 2013 @ 7:25pm
It is definitely possible. I got Moria and Mirkwood through the deeds. I also got Angmar. I still have many deeds left. After a while, I got sick of deeding, so I decided to vip.

VIP for three months is pretty cheap, really. Don't have to renew if you want to take a break.

Yes there is also the lone land but them deeds take quite a bit longer, your best bets is to just roll new chars over and over in the 3 new starter zones, Also if you do it with a friend or to you will do it much faster!
