Can't use different gamepads together
I am trying to use a logitech rumblepad 2, a F310, and an official xbox controller all at the same time in split screen. the f310 and xbox controller work fine but even after remapping the controls with the rumblepad the game still recognizes the right trigger as being the start button which means every time i push the gas it pauses the game. Obviously this makes it unplayable. I tried to use x360ce but the pass through functionality doesn't work properly with it. Any ideas?

BTW as i was typing this I realized that I can use the bumper for gas instead of the trigger but I still would like a better solution if anybody has one. Thanks in advance!

Go into your config tool. For the problem controllers; clear everything and reinput them manually. The Trigger will still be "Start" in the menu interfaces, but if you remove and reset all bindings, it should work.

This worked on my Logitech RumblePad 2, by clearing all keybindings first and remapping everything, the trigger was the proper accelerate key and not the pause key.

Well, what I ended up doing is using x360ce and I turned off pass through for all the controllers even the xbox 360 controller. That made them all work correctly.

Actually when I did that it didn't allow me to drift with the xbox controller, so I still need help if anyone has a solution. Has anyone gotten a Logitech Rumblepad 2 working properly without using x360ce?

Yep, I used a Logitech RumblePad 2 in the post I described above, as well as a Saitek P990 alongside two Logitech F310 Gamepads which are both set to X-Input.

All you have to do is set your controllers through the game's config tool, then unmap and remap all commands individually on the problem controllers.

If you want, I can record a quick configuration demo for you.

Problem is that some joysticks have constant active axis on.
I have an old Logitech controller and it is impossible to map a button without the axis + or - sign appearing automatically instead. Both in game config and x360ce.

Have to set inputs manually in the ini file separately for 1 joystick and copy the settings in the ini file when two joysticks are active. took me 40 minutes to find the correct config and this only for the laptop. Have to repeat the same step for the desktop. Saved the ini file to a separate folder, because when 1 joystick is not connected, game refuses to launch and I have to delete the ini file.

another problem with x360ce and game config is that when two joysticks are active, only 1 is recognized.

Fortunately the other Logitech F510 doesnt have those issues. I'l buy either a second F510 or an Xbox controller.

Okay, I'll try this, so far no matter what I do it always treats the right trigger as the start button but I'll try unmapping then remapping.

This is kind of normal. For some reason on Direct Input, Button 8 (which happens to be in the same spot as the right trigger n a Logitech RumblePad 2 and a Saitek P990 gamepad) defaults to pause, and in the menu interfaces for the game it is your start button (you have to press right trigger to join into a game if the joining controller is a Direct Input). Once configured though I wasn't experiencing what you were in which the accelerator was also pause. Unmapping is part of the solution, as if you try to just map the controls without clearing, it will assign the button without clearing the previous command and you can end up having four buttons do the same thing.

Thanks for trying to help guys, now let me double check and see if I'm doing something wrong because it still has Pause/Start as Right trigger. I use the Configure option on Steam and go to the controls section I set it to Rumblepad 2 and click Redefine. I click Clear All and then Redefine All. Was there something I missed in there? I even cleared and redefined 2x just to make sure it cleared but it still isn't working. Again, thanks for your help so far.

This is odd since it works fine for me, you're not still running that x360ce program in the background are you? That's the only other thing I can think of.

No I closed it and deleted all the files, I'm just gonna have to get used to using the bumper for accelerating and having the A and B buttons mixed up, because I have it playable now, its just a little annoying, and I hate when I can't get everything working perfectly but sometimes with PC gaming things just don't work right.
