SOL - Can the lag issue be fixed....
......or collision turned off to prevent people getting fired backwards 100 meters and facing the wrong way?

Agreed; while that can be hilarious at first, it quickly becomes very frustrating, especially when you're doing well and lose your lead or your chance to catch up. It'd be fantastic if this issue could be fixed :)

i agree with that, we had a friend with whom we were racing and at last he definitely were punched out by this "bumping car" effect it would be wise to fix this as soon as possible, thx you ^^ cheers everyone :P

Collision turned off is a very good idea. I prefer that instead of flying 200 miles when hitting another player.

I've just had the liberty of being knocked back a mile on Sunshine Tour whilst in 2nd place because some flog with awful internet flung me.

For the love of christ, there shouldn't be any collisions in multiplayer. Even if lag wasn't a game-ruining issue, it's still a cheap tactic people can use and it gets extremely irritating.

Why even bother having a ranking system with a game that has an item lottery system and the potential to be knocked well into last. It's a complete joke.

I like the blocking people during drifts if I can but those lag super bumps are just anoying. Maybe a hardcoded limit to how much people can get flung around during a crash would be nice

No collision would be great, I HATE the lag bumps so much. This happened to me just today on Samba Studios, I got bounced miles off the track in the first turn by some lagger, my kart literally FLEW off the map from the collision:

If that doesn't prove something's wrong with it then I don't know what does...normally you can't even fall off the track on that map.

I was playing Samba Studios today, and someone hit me from behind at a fast speed. I flew across the level in the first water part, which made me get in first place. I won because of that.

I don't think deleting collisions is a solution it's a part of the game, they just need to improve their netcode.

This happens to me all the time. I'm not exactly for turning collision off perminantly, but I'll support it as a short-term solution until the lag can be fixed.

I've had this happen too since the latest patch. It happens if you miss the transformation ring, which fortunately means it's easy to avoid, albeit still pretty annoying.
