Yeah, about that..... when I took first from you in lap 1, I was still in 2nd. Maybe she knows a shortcut, or she is hacking. And even if she is, VAC support is coming soon.

Not sure if it's related, but sometimes when playing this map i've had people split between the air and boat sections.

I'm not sure how it happens, but when i was playing in a private game on the first lap. I was in the boat section and two of my friends ended up in the flying section.

Edit: What i was getting at is Marianne possibly glitched into the boat section whilst you were stuck in the air section.

It's Race of Ages. It is deceptively complex. In both the plane and boating sections there are ample opportunities for extra boosts. Risk boosts in the plane path and stunt boosts in the boat path.
Those boosts are hard to pull off. Newer players won't get them or how to do them. You really have to know the track very well.

And with that in mind, building up that much of a lead is easy on Race of Ages once you're far. It's one of those tracks where once you get some distance, you are far less likely to get hit by items. The many boost plates on the car sections makes recovery from items even easier as well.

So this seems more like a case of a racer being just that much better.

Next time, while you're in the lobby, check their license stats. Check how much racing time they have and what completion percentage they have. If they have over 25 hours of race time and around 100% completion, they're likely just that good.

Look at the first screenshot again, tell me exactly where Danica Patrick is.

I have raced against Marianne before and she wasn't cheating back then, I doubt she would cheat now. She is just a good racer.

I think if the person is far enough ahead, you can see their icon from where the picture is.

The whole car section is pretty much a huge curvy u-turn and since the portal returns you to the start which is almost directly above there I'd say that the icon is showing him at the start.

I'd say it's just the game being funny since it was only lap 1.

In the previous race, he/she came third. In this one however, all was fine until the plane part (was slightly ahead of AiAi). Let me remind you that at the very moment before the screenshot, he/she suddenly spiked to the top right of the screen right before disappearing altogether.

Race of Ages has a very strange course layout, even though DP was behind you, given the exact section of the course, the game was registering a position more above you than behind you. That particular hump does that a lot, as does the rest of the driving section of the course.

Made quite a few races now with Marianne and yeah, there's something really strange about this player. Either he/she is cheating or just a really good player. I don't know, but it's often quite frustrating when he/she almost everytime makes it to the top of the field from any position in the race.
If he/she plays fair and really is that good, respect then. If not... well yeah... ;)

That's what happened. I remember it somewhat because it was a weird race.
I was right next to Peebay\AiAi when he just suddenly disappeared and I was put in 3rd place until the end of the water part, where I suddenly jumped up to first place. Never saw anyone else for the rest of that race.

Not sure what's weird about my rating or time, infact I could've been slightly faster on RoA if I didn't get hit by two bees on the second lap.

Ive never noticed anything strange or questionable about Marianne's racing;played against her a bunch of times, and the only thing I ever thought was, 'damn she is good'. 4:16 on Race of Ages is a reasonable time. I've seen faster times.

Marianne is one tought player to win again't, thats for sure. But it's tottaly doable, i did it, quite several times :) This game, if played with super focus, can be one hell to less skilled or people like me, who prefer to play for playing rather than playing with concentration. I Usually try to avoid rooms with those "Robot-Skilled" players, since i don't like myself to play with "ALL FOCUS ON SCREEN, BEEP BEEP". I like it more when it's agains't people who dont start shouting cursed names for losing / for winning (yes, there are those idiots who start insulting everyone for winning, like it's their biggest archivement in life or something). Even though marianne is a tought player, i do like when she appears in the lobby, at least untill now, she didn't scream her head out, or ran away from the lobby for losing ;)

You just gotta train a little bit. Learn to avoid all stars and the damn Ice / rocket (also how to properly throw them), it's the golden rule ;)
