Is there any way to get all the characters without finishing all the races on extreme? I have to admit I will never be good enough to do that, but I want them all.

Git Gud comments won't get any reply.

Edit: I didn't know that stunts give extra boost. If you have trouble unlocking all characters you maybe don't know either.

I'd just recommend lots of practice, and definitely try both the medium and hard modes before doing that.

I've finished most missions on medium, some on hard and drifts, boost or ringraces on extreme, but duels and races are kind of impossible. I don't make any mistakes and yet get beat every time. I'm stuck on about 140 stars for a while now and can't really move on with the campaign.

It's not an easy job to get all the stars, but it's absolutely not impossible. Keep trying and remember to take your time, it's not always a one-try win. Play another time if you feel like you're done with it. Don't forget to check some of the guides out there. As for myself, I completed my World Tour on my 60 hours of gameplay, so yeah...

To just unlock characters you need 165 stars which means you should do the first tour on expert and the rest mostly on hard. Which is quite easy since some of the challenges are so freaking easy on expert.

picking a character with a mod that fit with the race help. a high maximum speed help if the race has long straight line. an high acceleration , control or boost help if the race has a lot's of curve.

Trying using Pudding with balance mod. Most of the expert courses where beaten pretty easy.

Lol, that was because I went into getting all the mods for every characters I could get when I wasn't playing World Tour. By the way, the achievement for getting all the characters already said it all, it takes AGES.

It most likely takes you more than 60 hours if you didn't played it on console before and if you want to finish all GPs on expert. Why don't you check the Steam guides for help, they're useful.
Quick tip: don't always go at max throttle, you WILL need to lower your acceleration at some moments

Oh, forgot that one! Yes, I've completed normal and mirror GPs on expert and also some expert TAs on that point. You will probably complete it much less than my time if you focus solely on World Tour.

the closest I've come to speedrunning 100% was just under 10 hours. Though that was a while ago and I think I know a way to take it down a hour.

Take into account the difficulty curve and you can see why it takes people 60-80 on their first go to get to triple star.

You need to reach 165 stars to get AGES and to do all GPs in order to get Eggman, all the other character require less stars to get
