Worth $5, barely
This game is so annoying. I really enjoyed the first half of the game. This game is absolutely a rip off of Gears of War and a bad one at that. The difficulty is outrageous. The game on normal is way too hard. A few stray bullets will take you out while you're hiding in cover or an explosion. And don't get me started on the boss fights. They're long and repetitive and again, way too hard. IF you plan to play this game in co op, it would be great. But if you intend to play it solo, you're gonna hate your partner. He's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ who barely ever gets anything done other than get you killed. The graphics are decent. It is rated 3D Vision Ready so the 3D is really good. That is the upshot. However, its not Eyefinity or Nvidia Surround compatible. Single screen only. And the tearing is horrid. You will have to enable V-sync from your control panel or it will burn your eyes. The game got boring a bit past half way through. I usually really enjoy a game where you can manipulate the environment, but this game doesn't take that concept far enough, and its not at all original. Like I said, a very poor rip off of Gears of War. It's worth a shot if its on sale for dirt cheap or if you plan to play co op. I used an xbox 360 controller to play it, it worked quite well.

I used a trackball and keyboard and found that I had no problems playing the game. In fact it got so darn easy for me, I started over again and increased the difficulty.

Never noticed the tearing issue, so I never had to enable v-sync... maybe it has something to do with yor setup?

Actually it wasn't too bad, I got to a boss fight and I got ♥♥♥♥ed off and quit. But I was getting bored with the game prior to that. It just seemed monotonous at that point. You know when you're playing a game and you just keep wishing that it would end so you could move on to something new? That's how it was for me and getting ♥♥♥♥ed off during that boss fight just gave me that extra push I was looking for to quit for good.

I understand though I never felt that. I tend to just quit games if I loose interest and come back to it some time later. If I paid money for it, I'll do my darnest to enjoy it. I do understand your position though.

Is the screen tearing issue occuring because of the 3D? How does it look on your setup with 3D not enabled?... I'm sorry, i don't mean to try to trick you into playing again, I hope you played some without 3D enabled prior to quitting.

The game does have an interesting twist at the end. Although most people can see it coming. Check out youtube for it.

So you are ♥♥♥♥♥ing because you died in a boss fight, and decided to come here and make a thread bad mouthing the game. Good job, you succeeded in being an ♥♥♥♥♥.

This game is not hard. Once you actually take your time with the what 10 minute learning curve, on how much damage you can actually take before you die.

I beat this game on hard mode with the AI partner. Did I die? Yes. But, it wasn't anything to make an angry horrible review.

Gears of War wasn't the first game of its kind.

I just paid $1.25 for this game; I purchased Inversion + Enslaved Pack (Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Premium Edition) [Online Game Code] (steam) @ $ 7.49 and used my amazon.com promo code for - $5.00. Total was $2.49 for both games.

So you wasted your time playing on hard and now you think you're a badass? If you've got enough free time to throw away playing this game on hard, then you're obviously unemployed or a sociopath. I for one have better things to do than waste time playing a mediocre game that I did not enjoy. I just took the time to look at your profile. I was right, you must be unemployed to spend that much time gaming. And for somebody who spends so much time gaming on a PC you can't even build your own gaming PC, you have to buy one from Alienware. You got screwed on that deal I'm sure. If you were really smart, you'd take your money and invest in a custom gaming PC. You'd be running SLI 670s with the money you saved. Unless you're not intelligent enough to put together a simple build, in which case you have no room to judge me for complaining about this game.

Uh smarty pants you talk about wasting time, but you came back here, looked at my profile and made a rant.

And for your information look at my profile well. Its just an Alienware case. Everything else in it is custom. All bought from Newegg or Amazon, you want my receipts.

Saying I wasted my time, you loser. And you had to edit your post. Speaks marvels of you.
