It's pay 2 win. By the way, you can just look on their forums and see how bad the game really is. Nexon will never learn. This version is still buggy crap since 2008 and they even managed to untranslate the game due to how they rush their patches out. That was probably fixed by now, but you can always check old patch notes to confirm that.

Everytime they claim to fix something, they ruin it. And don't even think you can play with good latency unless you live in California.

I'd go on and on but you can always read the admittedly outdated Encyclopedia Dramatica article about the game...because it's still ♥♥♥♥ing true.

I played a little today and the tooltip for my first aid skill was in Korean, and one of the signs in town just said "XXX XXX XXXXX XXXXXX XXXX"

First Aid will be translated again soon (I'm assuming). And the reason the sign says "XXX XXX..." is because you are too far away from it.

The Emain Macha map is translated. The Puppet Quests ARE translated.

As for latency, ever heard of turning nagle off and setting mtu to something like hmm, 400 should be safe enough. I play from Australia and I got no problems. Only lag atm is the server, freezes every so often. But I'm sure Nexon will get around to fixing that. They just slow cause fixing lag isn't a simple thing to do.

i played when it came out in NA. A lot of things are wrong in this game. bugs aren't happening because they keep adding stuff. They just chose not to fix them. How do you think hackers knew when they could use certain korean mods?. Because it already happen in KR. Devs never fix it and never will. if they do it will be a miracle.

no problems with lag? you must be blind or used to it. the skill lag,server lag,monster lag, displacement lag, and high latancy issue has been around since the game started.... Even turning off nagle only helps some what. because most of the lag that happens isn't in our controll.

yup you are blind. My nagle is disable and has been for along time. nice try on talking to me like i dont know what im talking about..... I work with networking. The lag isn't due to my net speed its on thier end. But i guess you are so blind you have never been on other sites that only talk about this game GL to you

If you are thinking of starting now, don't. At one point this game was absolutely fantastic, but now Nexon is just trying to milk everything out of it while it lasts. Which isn't going to be much longer.

That is some what true, along with all the issues some being major,some minor. But the game is still worth playing if you have never play this type of mmo.

Can't even play because for some strange reason its trying to force me to use an email i haven't used since my first year in highschool, nearly 8 years ago XD. Was the email i used to create my Maplestory account, but i have no clue how it knew to use that.

in any case, i can't change the email, so Nexon games on Steam are a no go. I dont even remember the password for that email, so i can't reset it either.
