POLL: Should there be a voice chat in-game?
A voice chat would enable team members to more easily communicate while in battle. What do you think? Reply with your yes/no answer and your opinion on the matter.

Sounds like a good idea. They might have to do some server upgrades to accommidate that.

At the moment we are concentrated on other features but we are hearing this question\suggestion from time to time and are discussing it. At the moment, however, you can use our Community's Teamspeak server to accomodate your voice chat needs! You can find more info on it on our forums[forum.star-conflict.com]!

definetly should, BUT because of the large number of players per match I think there should be a quick voting system for who is going to have the higher voice

Just a comment about it.
Have you ever played with FPS games or any else with voice chat? If yes, you meet little boys with terrible voice screaming in the microphone. so annoying.
It is not a bad idea, but most players are stupid and spoil these features :/

Even if they do add in game voice chat it would be a waste of developers time if u think about it as the people that do like to use voice chat, prefer to use out of game ones like ventrillo and teamspeak as you have more control.

Yes, I know that. But I'm talking about OUTSIDE of your friends list.

Still have to maintain some kind of list to apply voice ingame or it will not work. you could also try teamspeak or ventrillo to open chat. otherwise general open chat will be to un manageable and become a free for all white noise, game laggig disaster.

You are so wrong. I have tried the steam voice chat multiple times with multiple people... It sucks. skype for small groups and teamspeak for big ones, thats my vote.

Then may suggest you get a copy of teamspeak or ventrillo because I don't think they will add any in game voice chat as it is a major memory hog with gaming and highend multi users lag is a major problem. Most game programmers want to reduce lag as much as possible so they will not add addition programming like voice to cause more lag. These programs utilize your memory and they have their own outside memory alocations that may cause the user some lag but in general not the whole multiplayer communityin turn. Though every player would like the bells and whistles in their games its still a give and take for what they will utilize their memory for. You on the otherhand in most cases can expand your own memory to relive the lagging these additional programs may cause your own system.

People like to blame the programs site but over the years I have found that alot of the problems usually originate either in the players system or the internet providers(ISP).

Actually, there is a community project concentrated on Teamspeak server. This Teamspeak Server is hosted by members of the Star Conflict community. You can discuss and get familiar with it here[forum.star-conflict.com].

I think it's a good Idea since there are small squads and small teams on missions PVE, maybe woul be complicated for other multiplayer modes, but at least for those combats where 4 players are in combat would be NICE!!
ArkhamGhost Oct 28, 2013 @ 9:00pm
YES

because, then we can chat with our team members about the fighting strategy in the game and hit the enemy hard as possible. and it would be great if the voice chat feature enabled inside team, not inside squad. and please be considered about this, then i'll make sure that more and more people will join Star Conflict. Discussing with Star Conflict team and creating a voice chat feature in the game will be tremendous. LETS MAKE STAR CONFLICT, THE BEST AND THE MOST PLAYED GAME IN STEAM...

Thank you for the enthusiasm. We really appreciate it.
As we said, at the moment we are concentrated on other features. But we took note of this situation.
