my play style? id say the fighters or whatever the medium sized ships are. for weapons? id go with the rail guns and plasma missle. im still on tier 2 so i dont know about the mines or ion missle. ive heard there are nukes in the game but i wouldnt know that for sure

empire frigates, tanks in enemy territory with support modules for team, snipes long range enemy, crush little intercepters that come close with pulsar and rapidfire lazer

Two T3 fighters.
The first (assault plasm) - hit'n'run. Fast shield recharge. Shield resists. Shield recharge buff. Attaking modules. Ion and hyp missiles.
The second - heavy support and tank. Heavy rails(distance, spread, crit and damage modules), 14k hull with 2 resist buffs, enemy slowing module. Ion missiles and mines.
