Incredible lag?

Wow, I have never rubberbanded so much in any game! I really enjoyed the tutorial and solo play is fun, but I would love to play with other people.. It gets boring playing an online game alone. Unfortunatly the server is so bad (For me) that I can't stand to even go into an online match without teleporting and rubberbanding into asteroids...

i have the same problem.. nothing else ever lags.. only this game.

my ships spins like a mofo and then im dead because someone shot me and i didnt even see it

also i cant shoot cos of the lag

Playing from Malaysia....no lag for me unless during peak hours, then I get a little rubberbanding.

USA player, never experienced lag; I think I have played a few hundred battles at this point. No lag here, typical broad-band connection.

Same. I have a broadband connection , but a nasty pc. It is directx 9, but you're going to probably have some tearing and glitching if you're running Intel onboard garbage gpu's

Have you considered it might be localized to you? I am certainly not an IT guy, but man, check your firewall, conflicts, heat levels, it might just be client side lag to blame...

Not to get too techy, but I have FIOS. I CANNOT play on XBOX live. It's atrocious. My connection is 50mbit down and 25 up. I decided to trace the path and found that my connection is dropping 80% packets at times on another companies gear. It's after the verizon gear, so verizon gives me the hurrr duurrrr bs speech. The other company is like and you are who??? And then like mjolnirsbane said, port forwarding, local firewall etc. I'd check what he said first tbh. Just figured i'd mention to you that it may be somewhere out in the path

hey, I have fiberoptic here as well..more often than not, it's the local ISP that screws it up or the international connection to the server.

Gaming from Australia here. I think we might need more servers spread around the world. I get terrible lag in everything except solo practice. Scenario is playable but lately the Arcade gametypes are so laggy that i dont even bother attacking an interceptor because they're impossible to hit with my level of lag... seeing as i paid for 3 months of premium and bought 2 of the dlc's i'd like an oceania server or something... thats possibly your issue too, Mr.Moose.
