Star Conflict

Star Conflict

Vezi statistici:
I won't be returning to this game.
I was initially interested in Star Conflict, due to TotalBiscuit's video, of course, and the urgings of my clan-mates from another game to try it out.

Needless to say, I won't be returning.

I've played a similar game to this on steam called Moon Breakers, and while it is considerably less pretty and less customizable, at least in that game I have a fighting chance, don't get ganged up on and killed in my crap little freebie fighter, and don't have to wait through the intolerably long respawn times to get back into the fight, only to be killed horrendously once again.

I gave this game a fair shake, and played it to maximum frustration several times.

When I play or purchase a game, I have a scale of 1 to 10 of frustration vs. overall enjoyment of it. I would rate Star Conflict a 3. Even DOTA 2, with it's toxic player base and steep learning curve, I'd give a 4 or 4.5.

I'll be uninstalling it after I finish this post.

Cya...? I guess? Who are you again? Did you want us to stop you? If so, why here and not SC's actual forums?

The beta has its ups and downs, and it's pretty much down to how well the team works together (naturally, on average pretty badly, so it's actually mostly affected by which team is worse). I have winning streaks and I have losing streaks, this is actually one of the few games where my win/lose ratio is almost even.

But even saying that is pointless, because everyone has a different skill level and plain luck does factor in. In any case, tweaks and balance changes are practically expected, because again, it's a beta, and the devs are very clearly still messing around with things.

This happens in almost all multiplayer games, there are always players who have much more experience and skill than you, frustration in fighting them is bound to happen the thing you need to do is learn from that, in time you will be a better fighter.

Long respawn time is fair, especially considering all the game modes are objective based, its not fair for me to kill you to cap a beacon only for you to just spawn 2 seconds later.

Realistically, judging a game on what sounds like your first ship is just silly.

This!

Yeah you are right about that. I mean this Game is about how to learn the fighting and flying Style. T1 is not that hard if you learn it fast enough. The real Deal you have are in T2 or T3 fights. Yeah you can killed easy if you dont care about flying your ships near Asteroids to avoid fire etc. But for me this Game is all about Skill and Tactics, but like DOTA 2 and LoL now evrybody loves it, but some people hates it ort dont want to play it again. Its okey, but dont please whine about it like its a waste of time or something like that.

clealry you didnt give the game a chance, i must admit, its kinda too easy to get to the top tiers atm.

But its surely not pay to win, heck, owrld of tanks, known to be played really good for free is more pay to win than this. the only thing you need to do is get experience in the ships to get the stats up, and do some research, then you could have seen that the faction items, yes you need to grind for it, are as good as the gold items.

Beside that, the experimental items, wich you can only loot, and dont buy, are better than the gold items..

In my eyes making the statements youre doing is a clear evidence of beeing biased, it is not true that this game is pay to win.

For now, this game is the most free than almost all mmo's out there, the real question is, how long will it take before Devs greed will kick in........

On a sidenote, you can get experience and credits easily, if you know what youre doing, ive never lost credits on a multiplayer match, so the 6-8 days premium isnt even needed.

This is a clear case of, this is not liek otah geam !!! Me not liek this !!!

If he hated T1, i'd not want to know what he thinks of T2 and up. Not everyone's gonna like the game, sure. But honestly you only complaint is "I got ganged up on". All that says is that you either didn't meet the learning curve of the game, and/or never attempted to co-ordinate with your team mates. Long story short, the game is fair, but to say you gave the game a chance isn't fair. However as said, not everyone will like every game.
game seems fair but I also always seem to get the captain that flies an interceptor directly into the cluster**** instead of playing it safe.

That, admittedly, gets really old.

ye but thats a case of , hate the player, not the game.....

The OP played for a total of 40 minutes and is in a Furry gaming group. I think we know everything we need to.
So you quit...because you suck? And decided to announce it to us all. kk.

GUYS 30 SECOND RESPAWN! INTOLERABLE!
I can not possibly be expected to wait for 30 ^UCKING SECONDS!
THIS IS HIGH TREASON against the king of the world ME!
Someone with my attention span can not be expected to stand by for 1/2 of 1/60 or 1/24 of ONE DAY! thats like 1/2880 of my time, and I need like most of that time to EAT!
It takes time to fuel a 400 pound body of pure badass. While you fatasses just sit around for THIRTY SECONDS like you aint got LIVES!
Well, I'm glad to see that the Star Conflict community is full of pleasant individuals.
The only thing I don't like about the game is once you get to T2/T3 you end up fighting tons of premades (pubstomp groups) and usually have a captian about as adept at the game as the OP. The otherthing I'm not huge on is how marginal the upgrades between low tiers are. I feel like each tier should have some form of advancement, but from T2-T3 the advancement is a few hundred more hull points and a few hundred more shield points (which is negated on anything other than the interceptors as you lose 5-15 speed).

Oh man. Where to start?

1. You can have THREE, and later four ships. Why are you only using a fighter?
2. Stick with T1 until you figure the game out (i.e. apparently forever).
3. Join a corp and team up with some other people.
4. Invest a few bucks and buy premium weapons and/or mods. Or just grind out blue equivalents.

Better yet, just stick with leaving the game. My five-year-old daughter plays Pocoyo Online--maybe you should try that.

I don't see any reason to be rude to the guy. The advice is useful for him, but the rudeness just turns away potential players. It is the main reason Dota2 is suffering right now, and why they keep giving out keys by the score to the people that actually play (by the way if you want one I still have 10 or so).

The thing is, this is beta so people can complain and (maybe) get the game changed for the better (in their opinion) so they tend to be over dramatic. Don't get over dramatic in responding to them, try to help them or just ignore them, but being rude just doesn't help period.
