Framerate limit help?

No matter what settings I play this game on, the fps is always locked to 40. My computer is more than capable of running this at 60 fps. Does anybody know a solution?

if you are running something like precisionx or afterburner, have the in game display show your gpu clock. It could be that its not bumping up out of idle powersaver speeds.

My limit is set to 50, with or without v-sync of course (60hz monitor). GPU usage is ultra-low, something like 15% at max regardless of what's on the screen. Now, I simply set MSi Afterburner frame limiter to 50. In this way I have a super smooth game. Nontheless I would like to know if it is possible to get rid of the in-game fps limiter.

I found the .ini file in %appdata% and set that to 144, but it sits at 62 for me using my paid version of FRAPS anyhow. (yes my rig is capable of 144Hz, that's why I built it and more then capable of sustaining it.) Doesn't seem the engine works very well and/or listens to the .ini file. Plus it automatically resets the AASamples (I tried to push 16 and it resets to 8). Perhaps if there was a way to start it without going into the config system first... The 144 setting stays but it doesn't seem to acknolodge it.

The AA value of 16 is grayed out in the game launcher....I guess it's a value not supported by the engine. Strangely, I have a 60 fps in that file, even if I actually get 50 while playing the game.

The game runs very strange run in 60 fps, but at other times run in 50 fps (in most cases) Disabling vertical synchronization nothing. GoF2.ini generally useless, as it does not change the value in it - nothing happens. Settings Nvidia graphics card and nothing on impact. 50 fps not play very well.
