porting ipad games

this game was origanal for the ipad and has worked its was throught the apple store and has now finally made it with the big boys on steam. What do you think about this game and it's mlti platform adventure

I remember playing this game in '06 - '07 on an Sony Ericsson k750i, it was a JAVA GAME, I played this game for about 40 Hours in that time and never finished it.
It was A good game for an Mobile Phone, but i Don't know if its good for PC.

wanted to say that too^^ i remember when i installed it on my Nokia 6230i *.* i had over 200 hours of flying missions in this game :)

I disagree with Doppleganger. I haven't played the phone version but the game /is/ worth buying and it's worth the 20$ USD price. It's very similar to Freelancer with a good story and voice actors.

Solve this problem first, then we talk about 20$ price.
No doubt this is a good game, but a good port need a optimize UI for mouse, the PC version just make almost everything hard for point & click -- When dealing with the UI which designed for touch screen, you need to get the cursor across a whole screen to do something. I'm not going to say "Okey" here, all I wanna say is "FISHLABS, are you even trying?"

I'm not sure how you're having problems using the UI with a mouse, have you tried using keyboard shortcuts instead? I haven't had any problems with the mouse and keyboard, but if you're having problems with controller set up trying downloading "X Padder" which will use the mouse and keyboard through the controller. I haven't tried using a gamepad as I personally have a much smoother experience with the mouse when playing space simulators. I do agree that if you only want to play Galaxy on Fire 2 with a gamepad that you might want to wait for patch support. @Doppelganger, have you found anything wrong with the game otherwise? Because it is a PC game and not every PC game has gamepad support. Do you really think that the lack of gamepad mapping/control is merit for saying "FISHLABS, are you even trying?" I can understand if you played the phone/handhelf version and was looking forward to using a controller, but that isn't enough a judgement on the game itself just with your expectations (and others from the forum post you linked)

You should play the iOS version, it is identical at a fraction of the price. Had they put the effort in to make the Windows version more feature rich with modern graphics then I'd agree, but frankly they haven't.
