So, what's better about this game than say X3?
Wondering, as the base price is higher.

Probably nothing. The X games were always quite big, in depth and made as PC games. This one was originaly made for mobile devices, so that pretty much sums it up tbh.

They list "20 solar systems" as one of the main features, that's tiny for this type of game. How many did Freelander have over 10 years ago?

Price is higher because it is newer. Beyond that it is a much (much [much]) smaller game than X3 and a bit stunted at that since the DLC address a lot of the depth and replayabiolity issues but are not on the PC. It is not a *bad* game, and I enjoyed it well enough, but it has zero replayability and the selection of ships is too limited

This game is great for long car rides, if you are 12.
To compare this mobile phone game to X3 is just dumb.
It's like comparing a single stale cookie to a whole family sized bag of Chips A'Hoy chocolate chip cookies.
PC gamers dont play games like this on their PCs.

I agree--a family-sized bag of Chips A'Hoy is a way better investment.

This game isn't bad (on the grand scale of bad games), but shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as any of the X games.

For someone who wants to be able to pick up an Xbox controller and have a little fun in space, it's worth the sale price.

This is more a simple, casual game. X3 is a true simulator.

Though I felt X3 was a bit too overly complicated for the average gamer (needs better instructions/Tutorial), if you can get past that, then it is a huge univers with a lot to do.

I think we're all missing the most important bit - that there are still people who think that Chips A'Hoy are good. I mean, come on. There are literally gajabillions of types of chocolate chip cookie. Chips A'Hoy are the Kia of cookies - sure, they get you where you need to go, but they smell funny and you don't really feel so hot afterwards.

The only better thing is the controls :P I always thought X3's controls were too clunky
