It is like Freelancer but done on 10% of the original's budget. So IMO not worth it at full price but fine if it's on some good sale/promo.

I bought it for iPad and it's the best mobile game I've ever seen, I bought it for 4€ (HD version) and they gave me the next expansion for free (since I could get the non-HD free version). I think the game is roughly the same but more expensive for PC, but is defenitly a good game! Awesome story rolin' and a great in-game market of parts to your ship, and as well loads of new ships. You can build parts yourself by assembling items obtained by scavenging, mining, given or bought in the space stations.

Definitely would recommend the game, but they have yet to release the content for pc that they very long ago released for mobile. :(

I spend whole day just for end main story line. It has few bugs, but is worth any $ spend on it. :) Also runs smoothly in Full HD on prety weak hardware (C2D + GeForce 310M).

Eh, there are much better games of this type out on the PC, like the X series. It was worth the $2.50 I spent on it when it was on sale at GMG, but I personally wouldn't pay more than that. The story's way too short and not very good and there's not enough interesting side content. And if you're hoping for achievements to keep you busy, then you're also out of luck. I've played less than 20hrs and have already gotten almost 90% of the achievements barely even trying.

X series is too difficult, any easier ones? Star Citizen looks great but won't be out till end of next year.

If you can actually find it, I'd suggest Freelancer. It's basically this game(Arcadey, 3rd person camera, etc.), but better, with a longer story, multiplayer and modability. Ebay would probably be your best bet to get it legally. I see some auctions there for like <$15 including shipping. This site is a good resource for mods and stuff: http://the-starport.net/

Also, I don't how difficult it is but, I've read good things about Vega Strike. It's free/open source so it wouldn't hurt to at least try it out. It's still actively being developed and has mod support too.

There's also Elite: Dangerous, which should be out sometime in March.

1. Can you play this on iPod Touch 4G?
2. Has anyone been able to use Joy/Throttle for PC?
3. Are the DEV's the same group that failed on the game
Jumpship Evolution and Squadron Wars? Very similar looking
graphics and company logos.

The basic game concept is a lot like Vendetta Online only the Graphics on this game are much better, but their is much more that can be done and more to explore on Vendetta.

The truth? X series (highly overrated), Freelancer, this one and many others all suck (more or less) and are very limited ;)
Wait for Elite: Dangerous (the grandfather of them all) in 2014 http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1461411552/elite-dangerous for a really free openworld (?) complex universe to explore.
....And with a fothcoming DLC as promised it will have also planet landing (like original Elite 2).

I don't like how they said "We aren't ready to show you ---- yet" like 10-times. If they aren't ready they shouldn't be trying to get money off the game from kickstarter. You guys want to see a space shooter worth investing in? This game has been in the making by a small group for almost 6-years now, put this video on 720-P and prepare to drool!
