WHY CAN I NOT PLAY WHEN I AM NOT ONLINE

I work on a ship so i try to play this game when i am on the ship yet i can not play, I found this out when i was already out to sea, when i got back to land i got online and i can play, so my question to you all what do i need to change or do so i can play it when i do not have any internet. Pls help

I was about to say it works fine offline but it turns out I have the same problem. I didn't notice any always on drm type thing so hopefully it is a bug.

Same over here! Bought this Game to play it on a flight to New York and Steam owned me. Thats suckts because i play the most time when im on tour and that mean when i have no internet! Yeah 14€ right into the trash! Shame on you STEAM and the publisher of Galaxy on Fire!

I cannot offer any help but I just tried it myself and, sure enough, the game doesn't work in offline mode for me either.

14 euros? It cost me about 3 euros a couple of weeks ago.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to launch Galaxy on Fire 2 offline and hopefully we might fix that issue anytime in the future.

get a crack for the game. that'll free it up and make it playable offline. if its a SP game anyways itd be worth it and steam doesnt care what you do.

Game is on sale in GG for only 5 $, and I almost bought it but than saw this thread and similar in the several forums.

Really developers, this game already has CEG DRM (wrongly called Steamworks), so you need one time internet connection for activation, and that's it. But no, you had to patch it so you need to be online every time you start plaing. That is unacceptable.

And I want even talk about thier stand about expansions or call it DLCs if you want.

strange...it works for me when i dont have internet. just turned off all connections and fired it up, works like a charm (-.o)
