Shima system?
Ok, So I have been looking all over the next for information on this. In the story line from Mkkt Bkkt, he mentons his club in the Shima system, but I cant find a way to get to it. Wikis and such arent helpful. Is it a DLC only system?

I have not finished the game, so i suppose it is just story-linked, as it is not in the Hidden Systems guide.

On the map, it is the red star between Nesla and Weymire. In my game, i still have no space paths to this system.

Shima appears in the Valkyrie DLC which, unfortuntely, is not on PC and Fishlabs says they have no intention to bring the DLC to PC, sadly enough. In Valkyrie, you can travel to Shima and gain access to a garage (you can own more than one ship) and some other things that deal with Mkkt Bkkt.

Well thats bull :\ No Modding capabilities AND no DLCs? I want my money back...

Yeah, I don't know what the hell they were thinking. Fishlabs sunk a ton of money in to the new GoF RTS game (not sure why they thought fans of these games would want a RTS as a follow-up) and then just claimed sales on PC weren't worth porting over the expansions. I was a big supporter of Fishlabs early on, I bought the original version of GoF and have bought three different versions of GoF2 (the original, the HD iPad remake, the PC version) and the DLCs. They turned GoF2 into free to play on iOS and now it has advertisements. it seems like, in all their ♥♥♥♥♥ing and moaning about how hard it is to get by as an indie developer nowadays they basically just alienated and screwed over the real fans who paid good money for their product in favor of catering to people who could care less.

I know right? My parents saw me playing it, and wanted to get theit own version, and I actually told them not to becuase of the lack of addons and Mod capability. :\ My dad liked the looks of it, becuase it reminded him of the old Fury 3 game from Microsoft, but atleast there were good music, and I knew how to mod stuff for that old game. With Gof2, theres ♥♥♥♥ing nothing to look forward to with it.

Hmm, what about Strike Suit Zero? I heard its almost the same, but with alot more features... AND its moddable.

x3 is not even remotely like GoF2. It's set in space, but that's about it. It's mostly focused on complex trading and ownership of multiple ships to establish a large presence in the universe. It's a good game in it's own niche, but it's not at all like GoF2 which is more of a lite exploration/combat thing. X Rebirth isn't even worth bothering with at this point. (read the forums if you really want to wade into the disaster of that game) If you want a game like GoF2 I would recommend the following:
1. Freelancer. It's old and a bit dated, but it's the game that GoF2 is basically a simpler version of.
2. DarkStar One. I have no idea why this game got such ♥♥♥♥♥♥ reviews, but it's a pretty decent space sim/combat type thing. It has some flaws and you only ever own one ship, but I honeslty loved it. Played through the whole thing twice. (and it's a significantly longer game that GoF2 as well)
3. SpaceForce: Rogue Universe. It's kind of obscure, but I personally really dig this game. It has a steep learning curve thanks mainly to there not being much of an in-game tutorial and having a lot of controls, but if you want something that's similar in some ways to Gof/Freelancer type stuff but bigger and with a bit more depth without becoming as complex/time consuming as the X series, I would strongly recommend it.

GoF is a lot like a mixture of Freelancer and the old MMO from EA that got shut down called Earth and Beyond.

Has anyone even played past the Var Hastra system? You can go to Shima as soon as you get back to Terran territory. Shima is apart of the base game not DLC. I think you guys are thinking about Loma from Valkyrie.

Really? I have finished the base game and still there is no link from Weymire to Shima.

FusionNinja I think your crazy. Shima hasnt showed up, and I beat the game to.
