Grid 2 doesn't at all 'suck' and also consider Grid (1)
By taking yourself away from the NFS games you will generally be released from a less glossy polished and arcade genre and enter a more realistic general experience away from a 'story based' style.
Considering your previous NFS enjoyment I would suggest moving on to Grid 2 would be the best step you can take.
I hope my post will help you with consideration to your preferred future requirements and not at all be clouded by anyones personal dislikes. As far as I can see in your opening post, you didn't ask anyone here what they thought 'sucked' and neither did I read you cared less for someones personal opinion...
However, it is of course your choice :-)
