Crash bugs
Hey guys! And thank you so much for supporting us and picking up the game. Whilst our stats are showing that the majority of people are running the game just fine, we know some of you are experiencing crash bugs and I wanted to let you know we're working on it right now.

This beta is going to go at breakneck speed and that includes bug fixes as well as new content. We're looking to push out the first crash bug fixes tonight and we'll be making sure the game is super stable for everyone we can this week.

I just had a nasty little crash after I died. I'll see if I can recreate it and get you the information, but it brought up about 5 C++ crash screens.

By the way, this is not alleviated by any of the current workarounds I've seen (run game as admin, run in Win XP SP3 compatibility mode, run steam as admin).

EDIT: FIXED BY INSTALLING WINDOWS UPDATES.

Since the only System Requirements to play Starbound is a Broardband connection i decided to download it on to one of my old towers. Game won't start & gives me an error report:

I have also tried one of the "fixes" found on the forum & changed the names of the .exe's to try using OpenGL

System Specs:
Processor - Intel Pentium D CPU 3.00GHz
Video Card - Intel 82945G Express Chipset Family
Memory - 2.1 GB
OS - Vista SP2 (build 6002), 32-bit


Like i said this is on one of my old machines so it does make sense why the game won't work, but as it does meet the minimum system requirements needed to run Starbound i'm posting this as a bug.

I can't even get it to launch on my Mac. It keeps telling me it quit unexpectedly every time I click launch.

Played for a couple of hours without problems, crafted the Spinning Wheel, made some Fabric, then i switched to the crafting table, tried to type 'bandage' and i got the first error, pic related:

hi, I got several crashes ingame (mostly after typing stuff at the crafting table) - noticed after i killed LCore.exe (logitech keyboard software) in taksmanager the crashes stopped. screenshot link: http://puu.sh/5C68M - windows7 64bit

I believe it has somthing to do with the fact theres only a 32X download and some people are using 64X.....like me, cant boot up the game for some reason, OR right when the steam overlay tries to kick in and says shift tab, it crashes EXACTLY right there for me.

Update on this issue. For me, at least, I can shoot my bow in my ship (via left-clicking), and the game doesn't crash. However, it crashes on the planet (when I left-click). There's no issue with right-clicking (though it doesn't shoot an arrow. Don't know if that's intentional or not).
