New Issue: Unable to connect to any mulitplayer games..
I port forwarded the range between 1110 and 1110 on my router, and i set it up as TCP. I am familiar with port forwarding as i had issues with LOKI before not port forwarding, but i still get issues with "Unable to Connect". I don't know what is causing this or what, but i seem unable to join in multiplayer games..any tips?

I think you should look for the [+] for Preferred Host, and join those, if you are then I don't have much to tell you. (Edit: Jason [2angryinches] below relates Preferred to Port-Forwarded 1110) Also if you can, use hamachi with any one who you play with and is either Private or Public (Not [+] Preferred Host). Is this with all multiplayer games..? Or hosting with other people in-game as well?

it seems like some games connect and others fail..not sure if it is on my end..but i did play one game, but the people asked me to leave their server..so i did to be polite.

Are you sure your on the right IP adress with the port forward I have had that happen a lot. My router will change, my IP every week (Local IP). If it is not that then it means you are not allowing the program to go through your firewall. Also if its not that, then try what my friend wilbur says.
RPG Gamer Man 16. juli 2013 kl. 15:48
hmm im positive the ip is right..and the port forwarding is set at 1110
A1Legged 16. juli 2013 kl. 16:19
Then its a firewall problem. You have to allow it threw the firewall.

Only the host needs to portforward 1110. If you are failing to join someones game it is most likely due to them not portforwarding properly.

Firewalls and anti-vrius software also hate Wanderlust, so make sure the game is in the exceptions list for those as well.

I have the same problem. Whatever I do, the port is closed. I go and port-forward to my IP, and even got a static IP, but still it refuses to open the port. There is no firewall issue or antivirus, the port is just closed.

Network issues can altogether crap-shoot and bewilder many players. I'd suggest to renew your ip address, research or gain assistance with how to fiddle with the network capabilities and try to use the command prompt to get as much TCP/IP know-how implemented as actual possible.

(You could use a good technician or professional)

I have been to at least 3 guides, even one specific to my internet type, and it still doesn't work. I have not had any issues with online play on any other game, and hosting is normally completely fine. I have no idea what to do. I could use hamachi, but not everyone uses that either. So on hosting, I'm pretty much at a loss.

i did try refreshing it. I noticed i can connect to some people's games, but not all..not sure if this is a issue with the game mechanics i do not understand...as i tested my router on most other games without issues..this is the first major issue i had..
Watzels 18. okt. 2013 kl. 7:32
Its most likely your anti-virus programe blocking it. Try completly shutting it down before hosting to see if thats the issue.

If you cannot connect to someone then its most likely an issue on their end. Their game isnt supposed to be visible if its unjoinable though.

i agree..probably my anti virus program..but i have doubts about turning it off just to play a game..i once did a DMZ with someone on an online game..and ended up paying for somoene to fix my pc later to remove a virus..
Watzels 26. okt. 2013 kl. 1:38
Setting your computer to DMZ is not a good idea as it completly opens your computer to the internet.

Turning off your anti-virus for gaming is quite safe as your still behind a hardware firewall. Not that im suggesting for you to do this, merely for testing purposes.
RPG Gamer Man 10. nov. 2013 kl. 16:12
thanks for the help..i tested it and it seems to connect better...still..i have my reservations about playing with some kind of antivirus program active at least..
Dust 10. nov. 2013 kl. 21:30
If you use encryption and/or a different OS , it shouldn't become an issue. Although the game isn't available as of yet for that... you might be able to get a better/less intrusive virus program working with it. If you experience viruses, then I suggest you leave another computer on your network on and awake to negate any spreading. (Although it needs to have its own GOOD antivirus, prob bought)
