Suggestions for beating chp 10 epic
I can't beat it alone or with some friends. I have won when hacks came in and 1 shot the boss -_- and with help from top tier players. How should I, and perhaps other end game players who have not been able to beat it go about doing so?
I'd like to know suggested team comps, (preferably enough different comps so each class can beat zem)
Suggested gear/cp allocation
and tactics for the actual fight.
Ty to anyone who's willing to post :P.

Also I'd prefer to beat him without help from top guys, that kinda takes a lot of the enjoyment out of since I didn't really do much but get carried.

Nice work.

Both the fighter and alchemist can solo epic zemn.
For fighter high killing blow with powerslash works pretty well, splash speeds things up alot.. if you are soloing or dont have a healer then leech and the berzerker skill also help plus some improved critical. The simplest strategy is to attack 3 times with powerslash then stand diagonal a little so he cant hit you. This prevents you dying from his purple ♥♥♥♥. Use your soul charge at the end to walk through the purple flames.

For the alch you need a high backstab (16+) and just attack from behind and dash through him when he attacks.... stealth also speeds things up a bit as he gets confused when hes getting ♥♥♥♥♥ by... nothing! Healing pots also handy! Use your soul charge at the end so you dont run out of puff in the final stage as you dash though him and ♥♥♥♥ from behind.

Now that you have beaten him, maybe youll be able to move onto the next challenge.... soloing him!

It's really a death strike matter for alchs, a Not Applicable matter for elems, an abs. possible matter for clerics, and lastly a rather smooth and slick matter for warriors. However, this all assumes you have 100% on all CP.

There are many ways to go with clerics in the team, pure players who are clerics; pure warriors/alchemists; and elems giving support reinforcement. However, there are many different builds for clerics and only quite little/few for warriors/alchemists.

Warriors should have a build similar to watz's which is: 10, 5, 4, 6, 0 (or 4), 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 1, 1, 1.
I am not sure if the updates made his respec different but bleh, what the heck. :P
Should warrant massive KB (Killing Blow) additions from gear, perhaps some power slash, but most importantly some in Improved Critical. (Shouldn't repeat watzels above...) Going for Westhaven Tunic, Pendant of Resonance, Gladiator's Helm, Soul Loop or Prismatic Band, and Gleemer (Crawl only). The additions from gear should go to dmg, toughness, focus miscellaneously. Get KB. Remember the requiem gives 2 to all skills. Killing Blow Requiem (and this is where watz corrects me below) with +2 should be optimal, 250 dmg with Leech 50. If you go HP get leech and perhaps mana shield if you have bm, leech whether you use prismatic/soul loop. (It stacks) Remember what watz said up above -- Berserker SC(Soul Charge) is preferably essential to bypass the evil flames.
Alchemists are explained as above by the ever-empowered Watzels, however all I can add to his foundation of information is that a pot(Potion) build is unnecessary with zemn unless your being carried. Even actually with that I am not sure if Death Strike would better it.

Clerics can have a build of maxed sanctuary and guardian, the rest into healing aura and bt(blessed touch). You will need 7 endurance or higher. You might consider the damage build only if you skimp on db, hb, ha, bt, rez, hs, and low tough/focus.

Possible build:
[(5), 7, (5) discluding eq], 2, 8, 8, 1, 10, 4, 10, 1, 1, 0.
My damage build (With equips|As an example):
5, 7, 13, 3, 8, 8, 1, 11, 4, 10, 1, 4, 0.
(Yes, I know I have a support build but I dont use my cleric unless I have to)

Gear should/can be Westhaven Tunic, Caleb's Halo, (or Leona's if your supporting and being carried), Midnight Cowl, PoR (Or Blood M if you prefer), Soul Loop (Also Mark of Ret.), or even Prismatic Band. Additions from gear go to HA, BT; (OR); DB, HS (Holy Shield), Thanks watz for the apt and professional clarifications, I like to unload craploads of my knowledge without even validating it. Sorry for the mix-up and confusion.
Anyway if you can do a damage build (and get a few eq's) then maybe you can solo zemn like watz nudged about earlier up there. =P

Just like to clarify, on requiem you can get the orange item stats from chapters minus splash, plus firestrike from crawl. You cannot get any other crawl stats which means you cannot get a requiem with +6 KB.

Adrenaline (alch soul charge) gives you infinite sp, it does not allow you to pass through the flames, therefore you must get into position before he does his final stance.

+1000 HP and Revenge all additionally to Leech 50 are viable assets for the requiem on a warrior. Focus 7, Nimble, and the others are miscellaneous possibilities but are undesireable broadly overall. Thanks again for the clear-up watz.
(Though you could take a Mana Shield or HP eq too..)

I didn't know you were filming, Daynar! I just found out today. Wow, that was a long time ago. I can get him down to 10% solo now, but I can't finish him. I am definitely a lot better now.

Nice :P, I usually try to film almost everything. Just in case something awesome happens that I want to have on tape.

Excuse my random post, but I soloed him with the warrior with only 1 orange item (maybe 2 I can't remember). It is very hard, but I got the skill that crits on every hit when you are at 100% hp. I dodged the attacks diagonally like mentioned. I kept it up and dodged Every Single One, because if I lost any hp then it was hopeless. I made a pattern to dodge the blade, skull wall, and fireballs, partly with luck. The hard part is after that attack when he sometimes randomly jumps. Once to the final stance I waited for the flames to disappear, then went in and jump slashed. When he got to the point where he takes insane damages from that other skill, it was just seeing if I could spam hard enough to get the damage to kill him before he unleashed.
I did this last December though so if there was an update, it might have changed.
Oh and btw, even though I didn't take any damage I didn't get the achievement for not getting hit. For that I guess you need to dodge everything without blocking.
