I made the dogface emoticon as a parody or tribute to the FrankerZ emoticon. I love the speed running community on Twitch and their excessive use of FrankerZ , so I wanted to reference that somehow since Offspring Fling has a big speed running element (I purposely left a lot of exploits in the game for speed running purposes, unlocking secrets is based on speed, stuff like that.) I figured "dog face no space" would be pretty awesome. (I also had no idea that the Steam Marketplace existed at this time, and didn't know that emoticons could be placed there.)
At first I didn't even imagine this would be a problem since I created the emoticon just using the FrankerZ face as a reference, but some of the Twitch admins requested that I change it. I'm not sure of the exact legality of it since it was not the same exact image, but out of respect for Twitch I changed it to a different, and completely unrelated dog face.
My apologies to everyone that is upset about the change, but I shouldn't have made the dogface based off of an existing emoticon in the first place. RIP in peace dogface.
never forget ;_;7
You didn't have to, and indeed you shoudn't have. Sounds to me the twitch admins were a bit butthurt. Also remember admins (even paid ones) don't occupy high up positions and most certainly don't act as spokeperson for whoever actually owns the rights to the origional emoticon.
