So why is this starting up in a browser?
I've downloaded the x64 linux version via the humble bundle, and it starts up just like a flash game in my chomium browser, instead of going full-screen. Care to explain why that happens so? Also, when will we see an update to the Steam binaries? Would like to activate but not without a native client.

Thank you.

Go into the settings and change it.

And where exactly would that be?

I would also like to know where the setting for that are. It starts in a browser and is very small and runs quite slow. This looks like a really fun game...I just have no idea how to make it run properly. Also I'm running it in Win 8 if that matter.

Well on the windows version you have 4 modes for the game :

small window
big window
full screen stretched
fullscreen

You can access these modes in the settings (small cogwheel).

What miserable options those are.
Small window - Too small
Big window - Too tall (gets cut off)
full screen stretched - lol, no. 4320 x 900 resolution.
fullscreen - Now two of my monitors are black, just as useful as the above three options.

I don't even have those options. The game just starts up in a browser pointing to file:///opt/offspring-fling/offspring-fling.html
Afterwards, it only provides a START button and nothing else.

Well I guess it's like this on the linux version then. I guess it's because it wasn't developped the same way. Making a game portable on all platforms is not simple.
But I agree, not having the option to have the game fullscreen is not really nice.
As a workaround you can use the fullscreen mode of your browser (F11 on firefox).

Well it's not like you need three monitors to play this kind of game, yes ?

That's hogwash.

What says they could plan it ahead ? You don't know how the game was developped.

Maybe the game wasn't meant to be on Linux at the beginning, but then was forced to be on Linux as well because of the contract with Steam ?
Maybe someone else was supposed to help for Linux developpement and then just withdraw ?
Maybe something else ?

If you think it's that easy, why don't you make a good indie game playable PERFECTLY on all three main OS ? You know, just to show them how easy it is.

A bit of understanding would not hurt.

Howdy! Linux is a tough beast to tame, and unfortunately I did not squash all the bugs when it comes to Offspring Fling's Linux version.

Zelmor, can you email me at hello@offspringfling.com and perhaps show me some screenshots of what you're encountering?

Dren Snow, the Windows version should definitely not be starting up in a browser so I'm not sure how you're encountering this.. did you get your version through the humble bundle as well?

Jazzmarazz, are you running multiple monitors as a big desktop span? I didn't consider this, and right now the fullscreen options from Adobe AIR will just use your entire resolution... hmm.

The steam version of the game is also the latest build that is also available via Humble Bundle / Humble Store, so playing the game on Steam will give you the same version (except for Linux, which is only available via Humble.)
