For people struggling to get Rainbow on Uppercut...
There are a couple of replays showing an alternate route that's much easier than the path that dev uses. (Check out the current fastest by Tranquilite.)

Essentially you have to do one trick jump instead of the insane catch/jump and double pick up that the dev uses. I managed to do it this way after hours of failing on the dev path.

How do the developer and others get enough elevation on the double pick up to fling both kids through the tunnel? That part has completely stymied me.

Unfortunately I'm not having much success with the alternate route either; I haven't been able to nail down the input sequence for the trick jump yet, though I've succeeded by accident a couple of times before making a mistake later. Based on the replays I've viewed, the sequence seems to be to hug the left wall, jump straight up almost all the way, turn right and fling the kid into the right wall, land on the edge of the tunnel then immediately turn around and perform a jump pick-up. What makes the sequence so difficult is that the window of time to hop on and off the ledge is so small.

please gimme credit , i'm the creator of this path, all players in the ladder who perform this path are new players and like in others levels seem copied me (unless they fnd it by themself )

Else where the replay from tranquillite? with his 11:75 performance and others i only see the dev path

quinn latifah:
you didn't need to hug the wall, just wait the hightess point of your jump for fling the baby and immediately land on the edge and then jump, but the hitbox for catch the baby is very little :p

"How do the developer and others get enough elevation on the double pick up to fling both kids through the tunnel?"
double jump'N grab, it's really hard, you need both perfect timing and begin catch the earlier possible.
I hate every level where this sh*t is needed

seem i haven't perfect memory ^^' , in fact hug the wall i usefull for easly jump on the edge of the tunnel.

but here a video for demontration

sad, it was possible to get 1st place , i fail to do again the perfect catch at 11:00

Got it! Thanks. The key is to not completely max the jump.

"double jump'N grab, it's really hard, you need both perfect timing and begin catch the earlier possible.

Are you saying there are later levels that REQUIRE the double jump and grab? Damn...I was hoping Uppercut would be the hardest. If so, could you clarify what the input sequence for the double jump and grab is? Do you press [Jump] and then immediately [Grab] twice in quick succession?
ballom Aug 2, 2013 @ 1:03am
actually it's only obligatory( in fact it's not needed with my path ^^' ) for uppercut but it give faster way for:
beark it down ( 22 )
deflection ( 32 )
round about (35)
in harm way (37)
into danger (59)
rise and shine (103)

also there is a path for "keep it moving" (49) but there is a even faster way without this

"Do you press [Jump] and then immediately [Grab] twice in quick succession?"
I hate this trick too, so that mean I'm still trying to understand the rythm recquiered, bt this is somethign like [jump] immediately [grab] nd wait the grab anmation finish for permorm an other [grab]

Yes bash the bouton is useless cause, expet with luck, if you di this you will probably try to grab during the animation

I've managed to pull off the the double-grab jump a few times since my last post, but it's hard to execute consistently.

"also there is a path for "keep it moving" (49) but there is a even faster way without this"

I'm on this level right now. Is the faster route also the easier one? If so, could you please describe it for me? (I don't care about getting the fastest times, just want all the flowers.) It's hard to tell exactly what you're doing from the replay, especially toward the end.

this is the fastest, but harder than normal path :/

Wow...Mario style!
