My mom used to buy me those small lego harry potter sets, and sometimes she would take me to the Harry Potter movies.
This isnt really a review but more a shoutout to my lovely mom.

I recently 100% completed this game, and as much fun as I has, I cannot in good faith recommend this game without first mentioning that there are several game breaking bugs that have to be fixed before this game is play able. For one, it can't be played unless you go into the games files (you can go to browse local files through the manage tab) and click on a file called PCCONFIG. Unless you go into that file and set all values below MOUSESENSITIVITY to 0, the game will crash randomly and in some areas, the screen will go black and begin to flicker. It also helps to set the game to compatibility mode if you are on a Windows computer. Other than those major issue, I found the game to be quite enjoyable, though not as fun as 5-7. The cut-scenes are charming and funny, and the magic system is really well implemented. You can even buy spells that you wouldn't normally get in the main story. for big fans of Harry Potter, there are 167 characters to choose from, some of which you unlock just progressing through the game and others you will have to find on your own. These characters include the three main heroes, the sinister he who must not be named, and dozens of background characters. Despite its major issues, I really enjoyed playing this game and would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Harry Potter, Lego games, or is just looking for time to kill. You won't regret it.

Just be aware there is a huge glitch where you get permanently locked out of episode 2, level 4. Unless you immediately continue playing after the Crabbe and Goyle level and KEEP PLAYING all the way through both the Tom Riddle's Diary and Follow The Spiders levels, you will be locked out of the Tom Riddle's Diary level for free play and cannot 100% the game without starting over. Because of this I'm stuck at 94.5 percent and will never beat the game.

I know this game is extremely old for this, but I kinda wished this came with steam achievements.

Honsetly they should make a movie series about this game, maybe even a book series

I really hope we will see a Years 1-7 remaster edition in the future, similar to what Lego Star Wars got.
