They Bleed Pixels
Worth it?™
Pretty tempting for $2. I like semi-hard games like FTL and Binding of Isaac, but am turned off by extreme difficulty in say Boshy. Games like Meat Boy I'm kind of on the fence about (sometimes fun, sometimes too aggravating). Should I get this?

Well, coming from a guy who's never played They Bleed Pixels... this seems like a game more along the lines of Super Meat Boy, at least in terms of the play style. I find FTL incredibly difficult, but games of that venue give you the option to PAUSE and strategically access your situation. I'm personally on the fence about buying this one during the sale, but I've got a feeling it'll appear in an Indie bundle at some point (if it hasn't already).
It's a platformer that's not as responsive as Meatboy, and a Beat-Em-Up with some awkward mechanics. I bought on a $2 sale a year ago and gave it an honest attempt. The fighting is enjoyable enough, but I find the platforming very awkward. No other way for me to try to explain it
It's nothing like the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you see in IWBTG-esque games at all. It's definitely closer to Meat Boy, (but far better, imo).
if you have a 720p monitor go for it. for a game made in 2012 its really upsetting that you cant play it in 1920 x 1080.... i hate borders.
I'm enjoying it
Totally worth it, it's ridiculously hard which means beating a level feels very rewarding.
I find the controls to be super tight as well. The presence of enemies to massacre make it better than Super Meat Boy in my opinion.. Plus the Lovecraftian theme and all out feel is awesome. 5/5
Its similar to Meat Boy, but in my opinion little easier. Also levels are longer and there is combat included. Music and graphics are really great, rly good game if you ask me, 30+ hours played by me
Yes, yes, yes. This is so worth it. If you like action platformers then this is a no-brainer IMO. This game is a classic, get it, now.
The ice takes getting used to. Once you realise you are unable to stand still on ice and you will always move in the direction you are facing you can work around it. Most hardcore classic and retro platformers I can think of feature levels with ice platforms.

I had a really hard time with chapter 2 because of the ice platforms, but once I finally got through it really felt like a victory. Still working up the courage to start chapter 3, that was a much bigger challenge for me, and not because of ice. :)

its alright apart from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ atrocious ice physics. who thought putting ice in a precise platformer was a good idea? especially when you gain momentum on them for no reason at all, its not very fun.
rng and ice are the 2 worst things for precise platformers, and guess what? this game has both at the same time

There are almost always ice levels in precision platformers :)
And what rng?
Perhaps Random Number Generator? Meaning the enemies don't follow clear patterns? Well the enemies have limited AI, which makes them a challenge to beat, you need to learn their logic instead of just their movement patterns.
This game is hard but fun. I don't regret buying it and would love playing more bonus levels.
But I find some wall-to-wall plateforming to be ankward and counter-intuitive, and the ice is absurdly iritating.
its like a slowed down meat boy
Except you are a girl who kicks butt instead of being a helpless lump of meat.

In my opinion this is much harder then SUPER MEEEEAT BOOOOOOY on an immense scale, maybe because I 106% MEEEEEAT BOOOOOOY with the alt glitch. Hard games are my favourite games.
